Reputationally , it would be what I expected of WG, as a company you are known for creep and moving goal posts.

 

Personally is over played, and not subtle enough, hence the incorrect date due to clumsy nature of the hoax:  Lacking in finesse and refinement of true something truly humorous enough to be published on 1/04.

 

The true joke will be when it is actually for sale next year.

They don't. Also Video team, Content, Community, Marketing etc.

Would have actually have loved to see this in game even if it had some stipulation like

 

"Only useable in Co-op and Operations"

"Does not earn Credits post battle"

 

It would also make more sense timeline wise at T6 - 7 as T10 is mostly late/post war ships and the Habakkuk was a fairly early war idea for providing air support for convoys.

 

Besides, who wouldn't want to "accidentally" block the Raptors path with an ice berg in Raptor Rescue.

Actually, I would like to put some light how it exactly happened.

We contacted one huge ship cargo company for possible collaboration and promotion of Habakkuk arrival, which would be done:

• on 1st April
• showing, that Habakkuk carrier can't even fit in Two Brothers straight
• done by huge empty (looks like a flight deck) cargo ship in Suez straight.

It was meant just to pretend that, not actually stuck there. Well the captain of that ship probably messed the dates and also his intentions and from World news we all know, what happened in Suez channel.

That is why we pushed the release of Habakkuk, so it is several days sooner than expected 1st April...

A special event, where you can fight as Habakuk or against it would be very cool. Like the white tiger event in WoT.

Very funny! The first hint of at least an error was the price tag: 10.000 doblons for a tier X was a little bit too low to be believed knowing normal prices for other tiers and also the fact that it was a tier X on sale was also a little bit too much.

But with a normal price and tier IX, maybe it would have been easier to believe but again, the ship architecture made in ice was the final wink to indicate it was a prank and for the proximity of 1st of april, an april fool joke.

Finally, the purchase button did not work....

A pity we can't buy it!
