Salty and sad

After exiting a game I found this message. The sad thing is I didn't even seem to have a game with this player. Poor chap has only 114 games, guess he is in for a rough ride.

But joking aside, this really is not acceptable.  I am an older player and have a thick skin but i could of been a kid. WG take note of this please.

Better use a ticket or PM one of the staff here, this is potentially naming and shaming (even if they seem to deserve it...).

File a manual ticket to support or ping a Mod/Community Manager if necessary.

Oh, and the last letter is a big "i", not a small "L". Make sure you spell it correctly.

 

Could be his alt account, if you don't remember him, to avoid a ban of his main account. WG might be able to figure this out, too.

Player search has been completely bugged lately. You dont find the people you are looking for, but those with a similar name Guess he typed in the name, result was you, and then he started to rage. Also i guess the rage is coming from being in protected MM till he hit T5, and he doesnt understand that he was farming bots and ofc now everyone is cheating in his eyes

At best, he gets a chatban for it... You can click on the the chat window and it says something like report misbehaviour in port. I doubt they care about a ticket at support...

Yep, not allowed to name and shame in forum. Raise a ticket and upload the screenshot as evidence.

Btw I know this guy I think he is in my blacklist for couple of years. Seems he didn't change at all.

One of my friends done something way milder than that and he got a 3 week of chatban . So this guy can get even more.

I don't get why people get upset or offended when they get such messages, personally I think it's funny. I would reply something polite to make him rage even more

Shrugging it off and moving on is probably the best way of dealing with this kind of abuse, yes. But that does not make abusive behaviour any less reprehensible. One of the best things about World of Warships is the pleasant attitude one can expect from the community, on this forum and in the battle chat. People are generally nice and polite to each other. If we are going to keep it this way, we must all be prepared to react and take a stand against abusive behaviour or other other forms of personal attacks. 

 

As for giving polite replies, I'm totally with you on this. Mainly because doing otherwise would be outright hypocritical, but also because many trolls have a hard time dealing with simple good manners. I think it's called "low-affective response" with a fancy word these days - and it works.

          As others mentioned naming & shaming is not allowed. Same reason you pointed out, there are kids playing the game who don't need this kind of abuse. But those kids do have access to the forums too, no need to bring it here. Best thing to do is take a screenshot and submit a ticket to WG support.
