When this damn pandemic started last year and first lock down month pass I start fell stress an depression due social distancing and I was bored at home for most days. I am person with disability so I can't go out without help and my parents been to scary from news which streaming non stop. So after lock down pass I start to go visit a psychotherapist. In December when second lock down in my country start I return to WoW after long time and I must say that WoW help me with stress and that my mind been focused on non corona things and non overthinking about future in these COVID times. First missions around Hizen, now Italians.

Are anyone find that playing of computer games with goals help you to stay well?

I am not watching TV from more then 25 years so I even don't know what is this paranoia about, so i live just normal ilfe as usual.

Was in previous year on vacations in Greece, soon i will travel to Albania (no restictions - as in reality in my country). Don't listen to propaganda and You will be fine too.

If You want to get well soon - then walk outside at least a few kilometers every day.

I knew it. I am not alone :Smile_Default: I stopped 1996, never had a TV since.

And my life also didn´t change much, in the woods no one forces me to wear a mask. Although I have no problems with wearing it when in the city (3x per year :etc_hide_turtle:)

Sure. But I have another game when it comes to "goals". I am still in Wows because of some friends I made, and we have interesting talks even outside the game.

I am glad to hear that!

We all have our ways how to relax, or calm down. Just playing a game really helps to focus on something else, something you like, instead of thinking on how bad is the situation with this virus in your country, or your town.

So it is important for all of us to have something, that help us feel better, be more relaxed, until the things will get back to normal.

I still find this game a good way I unwind.

Of course like any multiplayer game it has its share of annoying people you encounter, and it has its issues some of which could easy have been avoided,  but all in all it is fun and let’s me destress after work.

in past WoW mean stress to me too (Randoms) because I too often died in first half of match I hate feeling that everyone aim to me but then in December I find ranked battles which gameplay is more calm and actually fit me.

I don't think on ranked as competition and don't care for getting League ranks so It don't produce stress to me just enjoy get XP and credits and on end Doubloons :)

Absolutely. Althiugth I don't set myself target dates for goals I just play for fun, and get there when I get there.

I don't mind telling everyone here that I'm bipolar, and have social anxieties. WoWS or more specifically, the community of players in my clan, and the wider community that I interact with help alot.

Anything that takes your mind away from the Covid situation is welcome, and computer games are very effective at that.  If combat games become too frustrating or stressful, you could try some of the games on Steam, such as The Turing Test, Portal 2, and The Talos Principle - you make your way through rooms, corridors and buildings by solving puzzles. You can go at your own pace, taking time to work out what to do, and then saving your progress for later. I have found these games very absorbing. All the best to you.

For me, a mixed bag:

- On occasion mindless blapping the guns (Co-op)

- A distraction

- Part of the WoWs (Twitch) community

And yes, sometimes it gets frustrating when you see what other players are doing. Also, the massive amount of stuff dumped upon you (like Ranked, Brawls, Italian stuff, other missions) constantly and concurrently is on occasion a bit much.

Video games in general, sure.

WoWs tho allows me to create stress for others instead which is satisfying in an entirely different way.

I mean you make every enemy carrier look like they deserve that cursing...

but seriously I know what OP means. I personally had to stop, wows is just too money focused for me to truly dive as deep as this OP has, and I had to stop. In addition, the goals are designed to be difficult and frustrating to make you spend money, and I can feel it, so I had to find another game...

Yes I find some fun and relaxation in the game. At least if I can spare an hour or so during the night. Can’t say I am bored though - more the opposite is the case. But the game is a bit of relief against too much stress from time to time

Yup, my business has been shut down for 10 months at this point, spent a lot of time with my kids - and blowing up boats.
