Battle Camera - random zooming problem

My Binos/Battle Camera/Sights do randomly zoom in and zoom out. It cost me dearly a couple of times in the middle of close quarter fighting. My settings is as in the attached picture, but I can't see what creates this random zooming. What can it be?

Are you sometimes accidently touching the mouse wheel while trying to fire your guns? 

Are you sometimes accidently pressing the left shift key? 

The game does not have an auto zoom option so this type of problem can possibly only be user generated.

I'd put my money on and old / misfunctioning mouse wheel.. so you slightly touch it.. it moves..

I thought this was about the issue when you click on to go Free Look and the game turns your guns there.

Thx for your tips, but I observed it closely  just now. And without touching anything is still zooms randomly - in or out . It zooms out randomly when I'm zoomed in and it zooms in randomly when I'm zoomed out.  It's occasionally, now and then, but at the wrong moment it can be deadly. 

 

Edit: Mouse and keyboard are relatively new and OK.
