T10 Population decreases

Over the last week, I observed something interesting: it seems that fewer and fewer players seem to be interested in playing T10 games. When I queue as T10, only a handful players are waiting for a match. If I qeue as T9, there is over a 100 players waiting for a match (mostly battleships though). Is that a real effect or is there something I am missing?

Would be a nice feedback for WG though. Starting as T9 gives you a high probability of not getting a CV at all or at least only a T8 one. Also the meta is much less toxic. More brawls, less HE spamming crap ships like Thunderer :)

Seems that the important streamers also tend more and more towards lower tier games recently.

Brawls and ranked maybe. Especially brawls there's lots of people playing that mode cause it's fun. More fun than randoms.

I don't play T10 much anymore, but it has little to do with CVs. I find the meta campy and boring, and the matches a bit too stressful. Mid tier and lower upper tier matches tend to be a bit more dynamic. Plus, let's be honest, you get away with mistakes more at lower tiers, and I don't want to be super stressed every match I participate in.

Tier IX only got about 30% carrier battles last I looked.

My Tier X ships got over 50% on average, and only Tier X carriers, which include the most ridiculously absurd broken OP monstrosities.

10 most played ships last 28 days (first is players, 2nd battles)

5 of those are TX ships, so i highly doubt that people are playing less TX. You cant trust the queue numbers, they can be all over the place and dont show the accurate numbers.

Queued up yesterday and found 146 BBs in queue, total of 5 DDs and CAs.

The German BBs are always amongst the most popular ships being played,  Bismarck  has been the most played ship in the game for quite sometime now.

I dont think TX generally is endangered in any way ... as long as CB are active and wanted, there always will be a TX population.

That does not mean, TX is a favourable spot for Average Joe nowadays.

 

I may be a kind of veteran in wows, but i personally play hardly any TX random any more.

I sold my TX silver ships (except Zao because of the gold camo) and stocked up my T6 - 8 ships.

TX only in coop for missions with the remainig freemiums.

 

For me as Average Joe TX is just frustrating and I put the TX CV on first place of my black list.

 

I have enough fun at T6 - T9 ... no need for TX for me

Playing such oddballs instead of real naval legends and ships that had historic relevance like Sinop, Soyuz and Kremlin.

Exactly, after all WG keep telling us how the Soviet Navy was full of Naval legends, and I’m sure there were plenty of big surface fleet actions involving the Soviet battleships in WW2 I’m just struggling to name them right now.

Dont see much of a difference in numbers but in skill there is becoming a big difference. What am I saying, its already here!

Earlier this year and end of last year, Thunderer was beating Bismarck in popularity... which is quite an achievement id say.

I have not noticed this, assuming it's correct : Perhaps some of it is because T10 now is -more than ever- tickling eachother to death with HE firing Thunderers from max range, which is mind numbingly boring. But there's currently brawls and ranked and clan battles going on.

just playing the Flint mainly these days, with deadeye playing a Thunder is boring but playing the Flint is actually fun and often on a knife edge and high in action, it's a game and i want entertainmentt ... camping  and spamming HE is boring

T9 is probably most populated tier nowadays... Good for silver farming, grinding and regrinding lines, and not many Thunderers to deal with
Also T10 isn't signature for skillbased gameplay anymore

German BB drivers were a Godsend when I was grinding the damage emblem on the Yamato. All those players who never learned how to properly angle due to being protected from their own mistakes by hurr durr German turtleback. Eat entire salvos of full pens for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
