Brawl. Fun or f-ck?

Decided to try the Brawl. Choosed a DD, and ends up against a carrier? For gods sake, come on WoWs. Getting more and more tired of this game.

I have played around 70-80 brawl matches this week and never got to play vs CV. Seems nonexistant

I have beaten a CV many times in a DD... I have lost too to CV's and in every brawl game the outcome is never certain even if you think you have a tough ship.

 

1v1 is a better format because the player has to play to win not rely on a team to carry...

 

Personally, I like it, it makes a refreshing change to stagnant Random or Ranked games...

The commander level really makes a difference here. A DD 21pointer with several 4pt skills (Concealment, RPF...) has a huge advantage over the poor player who cannot do better than a 10pointer.

So did i, got banned twice in the spawn of last month..

Aperantly, what was once playing the objective, tanking and spotting for the team is now unsporting conduct.

I tried it too, had some success with Mogami 4 wins 1 lose, the torps are very powerful. Then I tried a CV game and apologized to the Kii I met because he couldn't do anything and the game was over with 2 waves of TBs. And I'm a garbage-tier cv player. I don't think they should be included in 1v1...

Me neither, although I've played rather fewer games - probably in the 20-40 range, at a guess.

 

Although I tend to get bored if I play too many games in a row, I quite like the mode for a bit of a change. I'm increasingly preferring smaller team modes as I'm less reliant on my notional allies, and you can't get a smaller team than just you...

Interesting. I saw on flambass' stream few days ago carrier in every 2nd or 3rd match.

Did brawl in my Graf Zepplin, had fun and grief from certain ships.

I encountered 5 or 6 carriers over a good 80+ games.

Only one CV so far against an unicum Kaga.

 

Very close to killing him in the Massa but not equipping the AA flag and a little bit of lucky RNG on his side was the difference.

Kaga is very strong as he just doesn’t care about your fighters.

 

For most other CVs a fighter equipped Massa is a problem in the brawl.

Graf does well against these french destroyers everyone is using if you make it full secondary and just soften up the destroyer for your secondaries to finish it.

I had lots of carriers the first two days, none after that.

 

Most of the non carrier brawls have been fun, even BB against DD in very closely confined caps, as I feel like I am learning how to deal with difficult situations in those matches.

 

Two brothers is however completely miserable, awful choice for this gamemode.
