On second screen ship sways sideways after shot. Go to the training room, switch to gun view and You will see clearly this new behaviour.

Can someone please tell me what the Hydro effect is ? 

I've been looking at it for 5 minutes and I really cannot tell.

Being able to tell if an enemy has Hydro running or not could be incredibly useful.
