i was quite happy to see that there is a brawl event, until i saw the rules

 

first match, i enter with a cruiser, and was ravaged by a bb

second match, i enter with a bb, and lost half of my hp before reaching the middle of the map by a carrier that was somewere...

 

seriously, you can't blame me for quitting that game before i was sunk, i have a family, a work, i try to play in my free time to have FUN, and i see no point in wasting my time while waiting for the inevitable to happen

i had zero chance of winning against a carrier and low chances of winning with a light cruiser against a bb

 

next time you want to do a brawl, i suggest you to use odd tiers with more than a ship

Fyi - It will match you up against a random ship type so if you keep at it you'll be the BB vs Cruiser and so forth.

Just park up in cap, turn off AA and have a drink. You’ll be dead soon enough.

 

That said, as XP is a standard amount, leaving a match costs your opponent nothing so a penalty is unwarranted.

I played one brawl and it was...boring.

 

Two brothers epicenter. 

My Tirpitz vs Atago.

 

He capped the outer ring and blocked the inner one, I pushed through the center capped the center ring, pushed through and capped the other two while he sailed around into my spawn.

 

What followed then was, inching forward to cap/ block the inner ring, or reversing capping/ blocking the outer ring.

 

All while the center ring was ticking in my favour.

 

Holy crap that was boring. Not sure if 10k coal are worth playing a million boring or frustrating (vs CVs) battles.

I seriously cant understand why they always put two brothers epicenter in brawls. Must be utter hatred towards the playerbase, because there is no logical explanation why anyone would want to play on that map. Even more so in a 1v1, in a 3v3 you can make the arguement about blocking the caps each with a ship, but then its just staring at each other through islands, because making first move loses the game.

But that was the fault of the Epicenter game mode. And, yes, this map and mode is boring and should be cancled.

1v1 is rock paper scissors. Bring a BB, hope you dont face a DD. Bring a radar cruiser, hope you dont face a BB. Bring a radar cruiser, hope you dont face a BB etc.
1v1 is not balanced because it cant be, its just for fun.

Honestly I don't think I'd play anything but a Bismarck/Tirpitz/Odin/Massachussetts in this format.

 

I was tempted to try the Kaga, seeing that there are so many BBs, but I figured it'd be hard to use torps with all those islands around the caps.

 

If it were T9, I guess I'd try the Emilio, but otherwise I'm not sure I'd trust any DD.

well, u only would've to wait for a couple more then (possibly not even lol) or just yolo. as others said, 1vs1 is a fun mode. u get what u queue up for.... then qq'ing 'bout that after 2 attempts..... eh....

 

leaving a 1vs1 is kinda the most pointless thing i could think of in this regard in this game.

If you join a game, you do so with a commitment - whether written or implied - to follow the rules.

If you don't like the rules, then don't join the game.

If you do join the game, you play it to the end to the best of your ability, and then you are free to choose whether to play it again or not.

 

But - and since you asked - to just jump out of an ongoing battle in a game like World of Warships simply because you happen to dislike the match-up, is a bit of a shitty thing to do. It's bad manners in normal Random battles, and it's bad manners in a Brawl.

 

I, too, play this game in order to have fun. And I, too, balance my gaming escapades with my commitment to work and family. I have been in a lot of battles in World of Warships where the odds were bad and the outcome seemed to be a foregone conclusion. And I have always played through to the end and to the best of my ability - because to do otherwise would have been to ruin the fun for every other player in that battle. Seeing an AFK ship is always a downer no matter which team it belongs to, since its loss can't fail but to make the battle less interesting. Having your opponent deliberately quit on you when you are only two players in the game to begin with, would obviously be even more detrimental to the game experience.

 

I don't post on this forum in order to toss blame around. But I would urge you to not deliberately quit a battle once you've joined, no matter how dismayed you may be by the match-up. In return I promise to act the same way towards you or anyone else I happen to be matched up against. Does that sound like a fair deal?

 

Best of luck with your future battles, whichever game mode you may choose!

Why is there people mad about this game mode, its for fun, rock paper scissors, the reward is 10K coal (=1K steel) and 100K elite exp. You get that playing regular ranked on clan battles for a few hours. Nobody is forcing you to play 1v1 ranked, it's there for those who like it. I personally don't like it so I don't play it, my brain can't even process why I should be mad about a temporary and entirely optional for-fun game mode existing.

Please, never quit any battle before being sunk. This can lead into further punishment, especially when you state that publicly
