No, you don't need to be in clan to be able to participate in this Brawl.

Probably while working on this infographics we forgot to take that Clan down. Will report this to Content department to see, if this can be changed.

Yes. Atleast it was the case on PT and in the article we have this mention:

Matchmaking takes the type and tier of your ship into account.

So if it's not a Clan Brawl, what exactly is the measure of success? In the 1v1 Ranked Sprint you climbed up ranks to rank out. Does Clan Brawl in that format mean I earn points for my clan and we all together work our way up against increasingly better players? And if so, what is the goal for clanless players?

 

On a different note: My old notes show that back in the Ranked Sprint, I was pretty uniformly matched against BBs, cruisers and DDs. Bearing in mind the map selection, doesn't that again leave the players with only a handful of viable ships to choose from?

Wasn't that the lesson to be learnt from the last 1v1, that only a few ships stood a fighting chance against an unknown opponent? Wasn't it that for the rest of the ships the match pretty much decided the outcome, not the skill of the player? Iirc it was said back then to be a bit of an experiment. Wargaming wanted to know how ships are balanced against each other in an isolated environment. Since e.g. it's pretty obvious how well an Asashio will do against a cruiser, that experiment had it's boring aspects. So I wonder, what insights did Wargaming take away from that Ranked Sprint and inplement them how into this Brawl?

I think I get 1 v 1... but thanks for asking... what I don't get is why WG is posting about potential Division when it's 1 v 1, that does not make sense, do they refer to a later season of Brawls or what is going on here...

Then again, the article also says

 

"The ship-type compositions of each team won't necessarily mirror each other". 

 

Can you confirm that this rule does not apply in 1v1 or at least not with regard to CVs?

Same meta as the last time i think
Tirpitz, Bismarck, Massa and Odin.
Prinz Eugen and Amalfi.
Kidd, Loyang, Cossack and Orkan.
Enterprise, Shokaku and Graf Z 

3 vs 3 would be more fun in T8
1 vs 1 should be at the Ocean map only, no hiding just brawl

Those 2 statements are in separate sections.

The first is about "Brawl 1", aka the first season of the gamemode "Brawls".

The second is about "Brawls", a whole new gamemode which does not require a clan and can be accessed solo or in division.

This second statement sets the rules for all Brawls, while the first statement only specifies that the first season of "Brawls" will be 1v1, which may not be the case for future Brawls.

 

Imo they should've swapped the 2 statements to be more logical.

It has nothing to do with Clan anymore.

What is the measure of success? Atractivity of this game mode, mostly if players like 1vs1 or 3vs3 formats. I remember last time we had 1vs1 it was really popular and players were even asking, if they can have that constantly.

You can play this, have fun and gather those rewards.

It has two parts. Generally Brawls were revamped to new system, that you don't need Clan anymore and that it will be played in small formats. Therefore for next brawls it is expected to have different system, like 3vs3 etc.

Simply second part of your quoted part if about Brawls themselves, how they will look like.

First part directly mentions Brawl 1, which means, it describes how brawl 1 will look like. As it is 1 vs1, it is kinda understandable, that you can't form a division.

That is for Brawls in general, for example when next time there will be 3vs3 etc.

Unfortunately no. Those are Brawls, not longer Clan Brawls (we had a mistake in infographics, but luckily it was corrected again). So please understand this as something like small rankeds, short time fun game mode in small format

OK, thank you for the info. Than it was my wrong expectation guessing from what I saw on PT. Sorry for that.

In this case it will be similar to previous 1vs1, where you could meet different classes aswell.

Why are cv's allowed ?

Cv just has to hide, no schip can take on a CV by itself. 

My Odin against the CV didn't last 1 minute.

This is plain stupid.

CV's should not be allowed in matches lower then 12 V12 Lett alone in 1v1. They are not designed for this.

What where they thinking ?
