Multiple games with 0 comms and nothing you can do for win. you are literally playing slot machine instead of ranked... maybe there are players capable of hard carry but expecting everybody to do that is not possible. really cnt think of anything to improve/fix ranked as it is now. only thing that works seems to really turn off your brain and dont think (like the rest of the team. spamming multiple ships have better results then playing properly, you can win eventually and sometimes on multiple ships to carry you to the next "fixed rank". 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Doubtful. There are only few players on the forum that get chat banned regularly. Considering that large parts of the playerbase are less invested in the game, it is unlikely that they are more active and emotional in chat than the average forum user. I was more focussed on grinding every single ship in every single line during random battles. After three years in the game, I achieved my objective when I finished my final T10 techtree ship about a week ago. And so decided to try ranked. I love it. There is far more communication than random battles. You still get idiots but there seems to be more teamwork. After a stuttering start, I settled on Friesland for the league matches and Smaland for the playoffs. Qualified this morning. With only seven players I can have a much greater impact than I do in randoms. Even when my teams are rubbish I can sometimes carry them, which I very, very rarely do in randoms. Usually some weekend admiral is taking command. He is making stupid suggestions like "all go A" which usually translates to "all go A, stick the finger up your noses and wait behind the cap for the enemy to comfortably take the uncontested C-cap, take a flanking position and pen your teams rear sideways". If you try to tell them it's a bad idea you get into a lengthy discussion that your weekend admiral takes personal and it ruins the morale of your team. If you don't get mister "I won 45% of my games and that qualifies me to talk strategy", and actually get to make suggestions, nobody listens to them. One bad player is enough to ruin an even split or a push. Don't bother talking to him, he struggles to read chat and focus on the screen at the same time. He will die doing some non-sense ram in the hope it saves his star and be in the next battle before you even type in chat what a stupid idea that was. Tbh, I think I played with more focus as I resisted the urge to rave in chat at the glue eaters. I still responded with quick commands though. I mean A simple F2 or F4 is better than nothing.
