Thunderer bugged?

Anyone else noticed something strange with the Thunderer fire chance? I had a few games with abysmal amount of fires. I had 32 hits on a montana and 2 fires. Next game 4 fires with 60 hits.

 

I kept getting suprized how unlucky I am and everytime I think its a fluke but it got worse and worse and worse and at this point I am almost convinced something is off?

The only known bug with Thunderer is that the W-key does not work properly on many ships.

I think it's really just bad RNG mate, it happens. :)

Two biggest problems for me with the Thunderer is

A) I can't shoot accurately enough so get really poor results with it

B) there's such a rabid fuss about it at the moment that you just get focus fired to death as soon as you spawn.

 

For mainly the latter reason it'll remain in port until the excitement dies down.

I doubt that, because if you know what chance mean, you would know that that what you observe is fully in the limits of that what the game says and that assumin "something is off" is far too deliberate at this point.

If I didnt know that Id say the thunderer is bugged not ask I hope you had fun explaining something everybody knows

Are you wishing that you will get every fire on hit lol. Thunderer HE spam is what we hated most, it just karna, not a bug. Anyway, i love to he a Thunderer burned to sink =))))

There are cruisers and nearly all random battles.

You can move your crosshairs and aim at them.

I know about random battles but where is the mode with only cruisers so I can main AP. Is that some special unlock after playing 15k battles for epople with a lot of free time?

Look for broadsides and shoot AP. You have over 24km range. Not finding any broadside means you are out of position...

Thunderer has quite good AP, so why not use it?

Thunderer is one of the most accurate with 457mm gun if not say the most, you cant citadel mean you are not good enought

Montana? really? Thunderer has way better AP then Montana... So use it.

Of counse you won't get citadels on BB's on max range, but neither do others. You can target the upper belt, you can easiely hit bb's for 15-20k per salvo without any citadels.

I am not kidding when I say that setting  fires with Thunderer is as likely as doing it with Minotaur. Well maybe slightly more likely but not much. I see videos of people setting three fires in one salvo. In all the time I've had Thunderer, I have set a double fire once. I can place six HE hits and not get a fire, in fact that's the norm. 

I have calculated that doing a 4 hit HE salvo has a 1.7% chance of NOT setting a fire. If you go purely by Thunderer's stats. Of course there are other factors involved, but in my case, those factors apparently make it like shooting AP.

Which is what I do mostly anyway. But still.
