Hey everyone!

If you have bought the new Made of Steel camo in the Armory, please post your ship with the camo here. I assume i'm not the only one who is interested to see how the different TX ships look with this camo.

and tbh if you are free to play person a tier 10 perma cammo might be a good investment.

Perma camos for TX are the single best investment for a free-to-play user (Update: and you can get them for free for doubloons from ranked/container or in this case for steel). You can farm credits like crazy with them, no need for premium time. And why would i spend 30k steel on a ship that i play only a few times in my WoWs life, when i can get 3 perma camos instead that net me so much credits that there is never any need to buy premium time?!

 

But i'm curious how they look, because i consider to buy one for Daring and Republique or maybe Hindenburg as well.

Ok I am so gettting the Colombo with Deadeye build and slapping the steel camo on her just so the futile reports can bounce from my 0 karma...

Once I have all the steel ships, I'll get the steel camo. But, by the time this happens, WG has probably a platinum one with diamonds in the premium store, bundled with a fine selection of removed TX ships.

 

Still, I think that 10k steel is a bit much, and that's why I go ships first.

I don't play clan battles that's why my steel income is mainly from ranked, which i often skip because i don't really enjoy it much, and some random small amounts like daily missions or containers or snowflakes. During this ranked season i will have enough steel to buy either Bourgogne or a bunch of steel camos. I'm not really interested in any other ship from steel (i was interested in Somers, because i'm DD main and Gearing is my main vessel but so many mentioned that they were disappointed when they got Somers so i'll probably wait until it's available for coal some day), except the Bon Jovi. But then again, i have Jean Bart, Alsace, Republique so another french BB is probably overkill, especially that BB is my least played ship class. Decisions, decisions, that's why i wanted to know how they look ingame, but it seems nobody got one or they don't post a pic. 

 

Update: the reason why i want to know how they look on different ships is that i'm a bit concerned that they look like crap on some ships. Similar to the white camo with +50% to everything that we get as anniversary reward. This camo looks okay on some ships but on others they look like a piece of rusty junk, because they are not properly implemented or whatever.

I am not going to recommend Somers to anyone.

I do love this bote however.

 

In ranked it's a beast, and allowed me to carry games.

Torp power is awesome, guns are decent-ish (not against french or IJN gun botes tho).

 

What gets me killed in randoms are CVs and me not adjusting properly to the botes strengths, as i tend to play it like a Gearing.

Anyways, i am glad i did get it, and i could cry, because i don't have nowhere near enough steel to get it on my alt-account, cause this ship is the best steel ship - in my opinion.

Originally I didnt intend to get Somers but when I realised she is goind away I did and I am glad I did she is a top notch US DD and a blast to play

I used to agree but I haven't bought one since the Moskva perma camo debacle.

Not that I would probably get the camo itself I admit I would be curious to see how it looked on ships other than the Yamato as that’s the only option in the armoury.

If you're that desperate, you should ask someone to take a screenshot with that camo on every TX ship before permanently linking it.

10k steel is a huge sum for a permacamo. At least WG should give the change to use a dedicated coupon on it too

I have no desires getting the currently available steel-ships anyway, so why not get camo to make a TX "premium-ish".

Getting a permacamo for TX is 16.50€, getting it for steel is free. Only issue is: I dislike the look. Of course, it does look good, but that is not how warships looked; this glossy surface, almost like chromed - nope. If I had a switch to hide them - instabuy.

There is, in the carousel. It works for all other camo types that's why i assume it works for steel camos too. It shows the standard perma camo if you hide special camos, such as ARP or Halloween, and so on.
