why has this changed ? perfectly fine before.. now it's complicated?  same people that did the stupid commander rework too i expect ! here go and see if you can make something more cumbersome than before!!! what will they mess around with next?

as far as I understand those changes were introduced by twitch and not WG...

• Removal of random-chance drops — with the new update, it is no longer possible to facilitate rewards that have random chances of dropping for viewers. Since this mechanic was the basis for our Twitch Epic Drops, these types of rewards will no longer be available in their past form for the time being.

 

Now I fully understand if you're being murky on purpose; for once you're not operating Twitch.

But I'd be neat to know if is a decision taken at WGs discretion or its a global change at Twitch (yes, did a interwebs search but didn't get any wiser) to outlaw such random loot drops?

If so it's unlikely to be reintroduced, imho. On the other hand if its a WG decision then there should be a greater, or less slim if you will, chance to see them resurface.

 

In essence; no reason to watch twitch-streams at random any more, the missions I could care less about.

Why Twitch did it is pretty obvious.

 

To force people to actually watch the streams and buy useless junk to support streamers. Not to just leave stream in the background waiting for drops to pop-in. It's mind-boggling that people spend millions $$$ watching gaming streams world-wide instead actually playing themselves. I don't get it.

 

As I have no time to watch Twitch (missed 80% of last 2 months) and game with these change it's perfect time to finally delete the account. Kept it only to be more or less informed every 2 weeks for some re-watch, but there is always devblog. Good riddance.

Having to logout-login to clear the reward queue and get your actual rewards in-game is not a step forward in user-friendliness. Please set a dev on this to streamline it so we get the messages pushed to our clients and stuff automatically added to the account.

It can't be that hard -- or rather, it shouldn't be that hard. And I'm sure that the account/server/granting system is professional enough to be able to this.

It was done, to be alligned with changes in Twitch. That is also why we have a note there:

* Due to the Twitch overhaul, all Drops—not just for World of Warships—must now actively be claimed on your Twitch account either by clicking the button on the pop-up notification in the stream interface or in your personal Twitch inventory. If you take no action, the reward will disappear 24 hours after the end of each campaign. Each Update will have 2 campaigns, each lasting 2 weeks. For more information, consult the All Campaigns tab in the Twitch interface.

This model of rewards for drops has been the standard in other games for a while now (OW, BDO and Quake Champions are ones I have personal experience with), so I'm not surprised that they eventually made it universal to only have one system over at twitch and it's made its way here too. Unfortunate to lose the super rare drops but I guess there's not much you can do about it as I doubt they'd want to give those as guarantees, even if you watch a thousand hours.

What exactly you don't understand, how you can get a Twitch drop?

I know, that with so many changes it can be chaotic for somebody.

well i am afraid it seems like a lot of doublespeak to me though I think I understand it, its a bit harder and more fiddely to actually get the rewards, which are meh! rather than meh! and occasionally awesome, shame!

Not true.

Translation of the word free is in russian: свободный, бесплатный etc.

Free can't be translated to бесполезный which would be something like "worthless"

It should be already active. Probably check your Twitch Inventory.

Yes he had the drops enabled. Tried others to but no luck.

In the inventory i can see only the drops that I have received.

I understand from the pic in the announcement the progress bar is in the chat column?

Should be pop-up part in chat section. I'll check on that

I just received the information, that Drops are still not enabled. They will be active today from 15:00 UTC.

Its working, thx. Nice improvement to actually be able to see the progress and not having to guess if there is a drop coming.

Only Italian drops worked, I claimed Twitch Container and mission drop they did not appear in the game even after restarting...
