Just to confirm: if you are a casual player who is going to play this for steel only, your best option is to stay in Bronze, right?

You get 200 more steel for each league, but you have to invest significantly more time for that. Or did I miss something here?

So I'm understanding that you want screenshots of that so you could believe that this competition system does not have any sense and gives the opportunity to newcomers or bad players to be carried into Gold League.

Edit: just readed again my post, wich I admit could be missunderstood, and will try to reply with what I've wanted to say. Despite having an ARP Yamato, and a premium TVIII and TIX, and being this case a, as you say, rare exception, I wanted to point on the fact that this system does not reward skill or game knowledge, this system gives anybody the opportunity to reach Gold League just by being carried by nice teammates, so the more you play, the more higher you will be carried. And, right, I will be ready to make some screenshots when those exceptions appears.

Players don't need to use a T8 in any point in these seasons of sprints…

In Season 2 they don't, but I was talking about Season 1, basically asking on how many times players met someone in ARP Yamato in Golden League and how many of those doesn't have any other tier X tech tree ships.

Funnily enough, CVs at T5,7,9 would result in less CV matches overall. 

Given that the population of CVs is at 4%, it wouldnt be a bad thing at all.

On the other hand, I doubt WG will introduce CVs at these tiers, because of the low population.

Everybody will start on the same rank 10 in Bronze league, as a starting point for Season 2. You won't get stars for your place from Season 1, like it was before, unfortunately

Sorry for text composition, I'm really bad at it.

 

"The Cancer Battles 2.0" ("2.0" to make it easier to describe). Less frustrating that previous version (1.0), but still far from being good and fun to play. Rewards based on numbers of win battles is a good move, but at the same time, keeping antyprogres star system in place, makes this game mode: "Just ignore" (I'm really curious, in what kind of SPRINT you go back...). I've played 12 battles in test season (9 win and 3 lost at first week) and by some mistake or "system error" manage to get Rank 1 in Bronze League, and after reading what was changed I'm can easily write: "No".

Three major problems for me (and probably not only me) with this game mode are (in this queue):

1. Antyprogres star system. (at least remove it from Bronze League if not from all)

2. Stupidly overpowered aircraft carriers. (combine AA power of 2 Massachusetts B + Cleveland + Kidd as unable to prevent Lexington from tearing Kidd apart with just 2 "attack wings" or whatever it's called)

3. Matchmaker. (f.e. 3 radars in one team and 0 in other)

 

Since there is a collaboration between games, I'll write title openy. Go and check how Ranks Battles works in Azur Lane. They call it "Exercise". Allmost stressless and really fun to play game mode. Much better that here.

 

Yes, there is a improvement, but is still far away from being good and fun to play. See you in "3.0".

Despite the fact that I didn't want to participate in Ranked 2, I tried 25 battles today. Good luck for the players who want to play this until mid May. 
It is clear to me that I will no longer play ranked even though I need steel for Bourgogne.

Ranked is no longer competitive for 2-3 years, in fact it is a lottery, the team with fewer bots wins. The rewards are diminished compared to those of the past and grind is much harder.

Looking forward for Clan battles without CV's and Brawls 1vs 1 format.

Just throwing this out there, taking a wild stab in the dark. But could we possibly, maybe, PLEASE have a ranked season with lower teirs? The old ranked sprint was fun, like actual FUN wargaming. You know, the reason we play the game in the first place? World of Thunderer just doesn't have all that much appeal any more.

@YabbaCoe I was playing some ranking for steel and luckily I was carried out but the team and  I got 5 victories (and many defeats too ), so I am wondering if after the next "reset", I will need to win again 3 more battles to get 200 steel or only 1 more since I have 5 wins ?.. I am doing this only for obtaining Sommers DD for my collection, I need more 200 steel @YabbaCoe

Today I have lucky and got the victory 6 as I needed. The server kept my last 5 victories, and today I could add one more. Now I am back to my co-ops..

System working as intended, on the last 2 attempts yesterday evening I had at least two players of 41% winrate on my teams with quite several thousand battles on their accounts and actually one had managed to "reach" R2 in bronze league.  Such players expect others to carry them and at the same time are eligible for participating in a competitive environment...

Why would someone bring a tier 8 ship in a match where he is allowed to bring a tier 9 and probably be more effective? Mixed tiers is not right.  In case he doesn't have the required tier's ship he/she should not be eligible for playing that league because of very possible lack of knowledge.

The minimum level is Tier 8 and in the ranks I was, always I found another Tier 8 in the opposite team like me such us the MM tried to balance that. Being an unskilled player, I believe it is worst to play higher Tier 9 or 10 passing a wrong message to the team. Holding Tier 9 or 10 doesn't mean be more effective in my opinion. I am grateful to have an opportunity to play with skilled players.

Why do you still make ppl suffer and loose stars in Ranked when teamed up with ppl less experienced? 
Try to fix this game a littlebit and stop hating on your playerbase and the contributors to your wallets. 

Instead of punishing ppl whom actually try to have a good time,  how about you make a skill system/ preliminary system so that players match up more evenly? 
The always answers is: Get good, carry better etc. Its like a broken clock. 
And do 90% of players a favour. Stop bringing CV's into the ranked, ppl are tired enough of your O.P crafting  and stupidity in randoms, leave a littlebit of decency and respect in Ranked. 
Mixing tier VIII and IX, also not a good idea.  Sure im all for inclusivity, but this does not help as much as it hurts. Keep rank clean. Start at Rank VII and end at Rank IX. 
This way that you are handling the problems atm, will make you loose players, loose money and just earn more hate. 
The sulution is not a new BB line, but rather you listening to players.
