Is there any measures taken to ban those who negatively play consistently?

Today I saw a Marceau who reversed to the corner of map and stayed there for the whole match. And he kept spreading his hate in chat until he decided to press esc. I saw this type of players a few times in game. But for this specific one, I realize that he didn't do that for the first time after I checked his recent record. If you read the following graph and find his play on Feb 1st to Feb 2nd, he just did 4 game with 0 dmg, which is likely that he negatively played all 4 games. We agree that we should have patience for new players to learn. However, this kind of anti-social person should definitely get banned from any game but just playing a few co-op games and back to random again.

Update 1: Response from player support:

Spoiler

Thank you for contacting our Wargaming Player Support.

We totally see why you are upset about the negative experience with *********. However, we did a further review of the replay, and rest assured that appropriate actions will be applied.

In the effort to keep a friendly game environment, our teams are taking measures against the non-respect of our game rules with sanctions between 1 day chat ban and 7 days game suspension. In unique situations, our team will sanction with a permanent chat or game ban depending on the player’s history. Due to our Privacy Policies, we cannot disclose the nature of the exact actions taken against other player’s accounts. However, I can assure you that the right actions were taken based on the report you sent us.

@MrConway Is this the only proper measure, after reading all the details in this post, you (as WG) can take against such toxic behavior?

Still, it is not clear what unique situations are when a player will get a permanent ban.

Update 2: screenshots in game

Spoiler

At the beginning of the game:

That's when I said he will get perma ban for negative gameplay (which is likely not going to happen):

This is when he left the game (14:32 in game at J10):

PS: our bbs were actually doing their job.

Update 3: MrConway has replied at #54. Everyone can forward their report to WG staff if such toxic behavior happens again.

Spoiler

PS: look at the -1 frag.

Giving chances to correct misbehavior doesn't mean that we tolerate anyone who abuses this system and keeps being toxic. If there is no correct measure can be taken to stop this happen again, I would seriously consider, and also persuade those around me, stop playing this game.

It seems this player has 9355 battles with 41.84% win rate. He is not a new player. Additionally, he is in a Clan. Perhaps he didn't play / grind a full Tech tree yet, jumping to Tier X without enough skills, and then he is frustrated playing those DD's. Perhaps some mate of his clan could help him . We all have bad moments ...

Send a ticket with proof to customer support.

With enough tickets he gets a ban.

With enough bans, he can get a permanent one.

Unfortunately this is a long stuggle. Such players need to get reported for many months before WG pulls the final plug. They are a bit slow that way.

WG should put accounts like this on a watch list to check their stats regularly. As soon as they continue their destructive behaviour, they should get another ban with increased duration, until they get a permanent one.

When I say "new players" I mean those who are real new players, not knowing how to play the game. But for this guy, he is definitely not in this category.

And you mentioned he may have a bad time today and play out of mind. But he did it not only for today but in a sequential of days. I believe there should be some others forcing him to cool down a bit.

I did create a ticket including the replay. I will update the response from player support in this post.

Yes, they are alternatively rotated in different teams, to raise their winrate and keep them in the game.

Over 9k battles at 41% wr = beyond help. If there was possibility of improvement it would have happened by now, many times over.

Playing (very) bad is allowed but playing against your team is not. Sometimes it is hard to see the difference...

After your ticket has been processed it might help to send a message with the ticket number to MrConway.

Nope its a FFA MMO game with little to no mechanics in place for negative selection of people you dont want to meet in game, at least for the random play modes (Random, Ranked, COOP, Scenarios) sooo no, nope WG s not gonna do a diddelly squat

Had a dude in Aegis (in PFE as the only BB in 3 DD ops).

He reversed to the corner, flaming - saying he wont play with crap dds in Aegis and that its a loss already.

He ended bottom with 0 while all 3 dds ended in top securing an easy 5 star win.

After the game I thanked him for leaving extra dmg for me... he said I was a noob and that I  should have a coitus with my mother.

Some people are just extra special.

Totally agree that WG need to take action against anti social players - aka trolls. The only way to do that would be repeated offences over a period of time, to provide the evidence of a pattern of behaviour.

However, we all have to be very careful and extremely mindful before jumping on banning , consistent poor play. There are lots of people in this world who have physical and/or mental disabilities, not to mention those who simply can't play the game very well. Attempting to ban those with special needs would be discrimination. Attempting to ban poor players would be elitist. Everyone has the right to play the game if they want too. It's up to the individual player to realise they are not very good and stop playing, or improve.

The solutions:

- skill based MM which I don't think would work, or introduce a league system based on more than just W/R, and have the MM attempt to build matches based on that. This is a minefield however, different ships, different classes, players could be unicum in one and potato in another, or its a new ship for them and they are learning.

- We all simply accept that in a massively multiplayer game, abilities and performance will vary greatly. Random battles are just that a random collection of players with different abilities

The thing is, it is not about he needs help, having a bad moment or needs to learn how to play. He plays like this on purpose. He is doing it intentionally. Causing zero damage to enemy ships, zero kills, zero PR and -1 frag on top of it shows, this is another player (just like many out there) who has serious mental problems and likes killing a teammate or staying at the corner of a map from start to end. His whole purpose is to work against his team. If WG wanted, they could have easily checked the players with such close to zero stats and see wth is wrong with these people but they don't wanna spend time for it and also these kind of players artificially increase the number of players in the game. Plus, some of them spend real money which is what WG wants.

How do you prove that? How do you know he hasn't got Motor Neuron Disease, or has a severe learning difficulty. As a game you simply cannot ask him, it's discrimination. This is a game, not a place of work, you cannot easily demand an accepted level of play. The game allows him to sit and do nothing,. Of course he is penalised in the rewards he receives at the end of battle. You can ask players for an acceptable level of behaviour, but you need a lot of evidence to prove a case against a player over a period of time, and you have to know if there are mitigating circumstances.

We had a couple big threads over on the German forums complaining about serial griefers who have been around for years despite loads of reports. The best they're getting is a temp ban. Permanent bans are only ever handed out if WG employees actually see it ingame according to someone with experience on the topic in SEA.

So yes, WG has no interest in permanently suspending such players so they can keep raking in $$$ from them. The best you can hope for is that he'll be gone for a week or so, then return to do the same thing over and over again.

OP says the person was typing in chat. Pressing keys appears to be not his problem.

Besides, at the point where playing a game like WoWs becomes extremely challenging due to the loss of manual dexterity, playing games would be your least concern and you would have stopped playing quite some time ago.

best thing is to take allot of screenshots and send it directly to one of the community contributers here on the forums!

i saw the same behavior from the same person, starting to reverse from the start, and then just kept taunting in the chat for the hole game a few days ago.
and ofc. the profile server was down, so could not blacklist him.

i remember him cursing that he did nor want to fight the prominent clans anymore, and that was his reason not to fight. (there where non on the red team)

his final salute was to shoot outside the border, so he was lit up. we lost as it was a T8-10, and lost spotting.

i was wondering why a person will waste his time on this behavior, i did not reach to any rationally conclusions.
