Reset account

Can anyone confirm that when you reset your account, you get to keep your Special ships (tier 10)?

I have read that you keep your Premium ships but since there is a difference between Premium and Special ships, i hesitate to do a reset.

I asked Support, and I gave Thunderer and Smolensk as an example, their answer:" Both Smolensk and Thunderer are promo ships in which case they are counted as premium and won't be removed"

 

Edit: I have requested the status of a number of special ships, this was the feedback from Support:

 

• Smaland and Bourgogne are not premium ships.
• Hizen has premium status
• Supercontainers can contain special ships that don't have premium status
• ARP ships are premium ships

 

There is no way to tell which special ships are considered as premium and which aren't.

I am not going to give up my Smaland nor Bourgogne for a reset of my account.

You might have to elaborate on what you mean by an account reset.

 

If you mean a tech tree line reset for the research bureau then the only ships that are removed from your port are the ones that are part of the line on the tech tree. Special and Premium ships are not affected.

Wipe conditions

What remains on the account:

• Free XP
• The balance of doubloons on your account
• Any remaining days of Premium Account
• Port slots
• Premium ships
• Reserve slots (when applicable)
• Commemorative flags and rare achievements
• Camouflages and signal flags that have an equivalent cost in doubloons
• Premium camouflages that are currently applied to Premium ships
• If you participated in the closed Beta Testing of World of Warships, archived statistics for this period will not be erased on the website

I see the confusion, it is certainly ambiguous, it makes sense that real money purchases are preserved so coal/steel ships might be removed but the article continues to suggest that only tech tree progress is reset.

 

You might want to log a ticket and ask or perhaps if I ping @MrConway or @Crysantos they can clarify.

Any ships that are not tech-tree ships should remain on your account. If you want to make sure about a certain ship, just ask CS prior to confirming the wipe.
