@Wargaming: Are you happy with the update?

If Wargaming has no reason to comment, then it's okay, but at least I would want to know what the thoughts are and therefore the attempt.

Wargaming is this your way? Are you happy with the update?

Many players are disappointed and frustrated and nothing is heard from your side.

Is that really the gameplay you want?

It helps to understand what I write, but you seem to have trouble with that.

He claimed that we do not hear anything from WG. I proved the opposite.

I would say WG is satisfied with their Cpt skill update or they wouldn't have done this. Are they happy about it yet? That is the question.

It appears WG never listens to this Forum. They didn't listen when they rammed the CV rework into the game. They , apparently, aren't listening now on this Cpt skill rework.

Someone observed some (long?) time ago that we 'Forumites' are a very small population in relation to the great mass of players who never come to the Forum at all.

Since WG knows this they can afford to ignore almost all the Forum comments and it is clear WG does exactly this.

As long as this update brings in an increase in revenues then WG will be 'happy'.

"Yes, we are satisfied with this rework! Together with our great community we achieved the best skill system possible. We listen carefully to the numerous feedback of our players, we as a team gave our best and in the end we are proud to have the best commander skills system in the history of online gaming!"

If it helps, they are asking for player opinion on the last two patches, as I completed a survey about both on Friday. I listed all the things which are unsatisfactory about the Hizen build event and Captain Skills rework, and the things I liked about the Lunar New Year event. And companies do read and respond to these types of survey. That's all we can do, really.

I always respond to their surveys too, invicta2012. I doubt WG likes my responses nor even my specific comments. I'm probably just a fly in their ointment.

These surveys are likely PR exercises as has WG ever rescinded any of their major updates?

The surveys are either

  • a popup asking how satisfied one was with the last battle, with no options to give any reasons or details for the rating one gives or
  • quite a bunch of questions about which social medias I don't use, where I don't follow WGs news and shieet and nothing really about how I think about specific changes in the game mechanics

so..

yeah, marketing cosmetics... nothing more.

When a company has reached a certain size in Germany, it is to my knowledge obliged to carry out quality management. That's probably why they did the surveys.

No. The survey was five pages long and asked for detailed responses about all the significant elements of the Hizen Build, Captain Skills rework, Lunar New Year event, Strasbourg Campaign and Ships and Fates campaign. What I liked, what I didn't like. Pretty detailed.

Never had that. And I answer any survey I get offered. Had in fact never any survey that asked of my opinion of any game mechanics or changes of them in detail.

To get back 'on topic', No, I'm not happy with the 10.0 update. It is stupefying why WG removed PM from Cruisers.

Why can't Cruiser Turrets not to mention their Torpedo Tubes get some buff that even DDs get for their Turrets?

Did DD Turret Armour 'magically' get thicker?

Yes, that.

Also, WG didn't change the "meta" for sake of shaking things up.

It was and is a way to mentize the game even further.

It also allows WG to "change the meta" in the future again - from Sniper BBs and skills we have now - to new ships that counter those and of course new skills...with a new and improved way to mentize the new change.

No, it s crap.

Same kind of crap like CV rework.

Problem is that the 3rd crap is coming: submarines.

This may be the last year of this game.

The rounds are dramatically boring and the level is extremely poor. This was made even worse by the update, so the submarines maybe fit the concept quite well: Not fun for anyone!
