My Win Rate Skyrocketed since the Rework

The rework clearly separated damage farmers from playing for the win players. I find it much more easier to control the caps, take advantage of the terrain, have crossfires and win the game while the damage farmers are far away in bad positions. The damage farmers probably have high damage numbers and don’t understand the low WR they get.

There could be truth to that. But it also helps that the vacation days are over and many finished their snowflakes, that the mindless sailing around got a bit less.

Still boring either way :Smile_sad:

You can get the wins, but you might end up doing very little because enemies are looking for next map

Good for you. Me, I'm just having these rows of teams who only snipe and I'm far too impatient to sit back and snipe.

I'm being more careful which is likely why I'm seeing a few more Ws than Ls.

I'm also not playing so much & as soon as I see 1 L, I quit playing till the next day. This might also be it (anything to assist my WR).

I'm all for having cowardly enemy BB & Cruiser players camp & snipe. This makes capping & scouting easier when I'm playing a DD.

good as some players are, they now think that we have now dead eye. we not need support others

but looking your stats that your winrate started drop from last year, soo maybe think what ship you playing now and what you played before

i not sure if this is at all in your case because looking your stats you are climbing up long time now at least from last year 05.11 , it more seems like you play every day better and better

Two days ago i had an really odd battle in Algerie. This is not the best cruiser for contesting caps and killing DD's but red battleships and cruisers where camping so far away that i've managed to hunt down two tier 8 DD's that were trying to contest caps. Both killed at 7 km range. Sad.

For myself, I have only really played DD and BB post Captain rework. This is mainly down to laziness. I have Halsey on Montana, Yamamoto on Yamato, I respecced my Shima Captain, my Jutland Captain and both my Fletcher and Gearing Captains.

Having a lot of USN and IJN Premium ships, I have been running the Captains through those premiums to grind Elite XP.

The big winners for me have been Destroyers my PR on DD has risen from 21 day average of 2017 to 7 day avg 2470, MY battleship PR has gone from 21 day 1645 to 7 day 1731.

Win rate on the other hand has seen a rise for BB from (21) 61.2% to 62.7% and for DD's 74.3% to 75%

Overall damage values across both classes have gone from (21) 66857 to (7) 75268

I put this down to just a couple of reasons. My BB playstyle has always involved abusing the concealment window, playing BB at the edge of its' concealment. Deadeye seems to have rewarded this game style massively as you now have super accuracy in (for example) Montana at that magic 14KM mark. For DD's it is slightly more complex, with a large number of BB's sitting further back now and cruisers being reticent about venturing forward (due to DE skill from long range fire) the caps have been much more wide open, gunboat DD's now find themselves able to gunfight without major input from supporting players due to being too far back. Also for DD the 'better' BB players who are a bit more forward are easier to punish now as they have such a low level of support, Also for DD there seems to have been a massive drop in CV population since rework, I guess that the majority feel that farming with a Conq/Thunderer now gives better damage numbers than playing CV. So again DD's life is currently easier.

Overall this rework has made a well played DD, in experienced hands a game winner once more, this will probably change over time and maybe I should keep a closer eye on the correlation in future. My personal opinion is that the rework is a POSITIVE change, but needs some tweaking.

My prime changes would be to reduce dead eye to 7% (potentially 5%), increase Emergency repair specialist to 7% repair and 5% Heal (as it stands it's never going to be used) and emergency repair expert (Superintendant) bring back the blanket +1 to charges.

These are just my observations and your mileage WILL vary.

MY main and really only complaint on this rework is the FINAL DEMISE of the FUSO, her concealment makes using DE impossible as the window is too small, however her being spotted so long she is punished by others using DE, please please look into re-balancing her with a major concealment buff.

I said many times in previous posts, was laughed at many times by others, that WG wanted to turn this game into a game that can be played by 5 year olds.

If the standard of gameplay since the rework isn't proof of this then you're obviously blind.

the skys the limit.

personally i'd say theres a lot more potatoes around now who just camp it out at 20km and cruiser players have pretty much given up so its kinda easy now to actually perform better in a DD.
I noticed this in the shima, shes still obsolete but having an easier time now due to the insane amount of campers

This could very well be their new target audience, or will be, eventually, lol.
