How is that still Clan Brawls in teams 7vs7? I think at least 50% of the team should be required of the same clan

Yet another WG communication which leads to more questions than it answers- why are you incapable of disseminating information in any meaningful way.

 

"Each Brawl can bring you up to 5,000 Coal; 3,000,000 Credits; and 120,000 Elite Commander XP.

The Brawl rewards are divided equally across two chains of combat missions. The second chain will succeed the first one"

 

So

1) what is a chain of missions?

2) Are the 1st set of missions the same as the second?

3) what are the rewards per mission, if any?

4) what, if any, is the reward for just the 1st chain? 

5) Is the stated reward given to all who complete both chains or have you hidden that it's for the top 100 or something else.

6) What is the meaning in terms of the brawl, of "Each Brawl can bring you up to" - what qualifiers have you placed on this.

 

Advice for you WG and free of charge too- when in the future you start making a profit from WOWS and grow from the tiny 1 man operation I assume you are based on your crap communications- then employ a communication officer or two that can both read and write informative news items.

Based on previous brawls.

1) The missions are to win games, 5 wins for 5,000 coal, 5 wins for 3,000,000 credits and 5 wins for 120,000 cxp. You receive a portion of the stated rewards per win.

2) Yes. Win a total of 15 games to receive all rewards.

3) The rewards used to be split between a reward per win and then a final reward for getting all 5. For example, 400,000 credits per win and then a further 1,000,000 credits for the 5th win, for a total of 3,000,000.

4) I believe this is 800 coal per win and then a further 1000 coal for completing all 5 wins.

5) The rewards are received by the participant upon each win, once the chain is complete you will have received all of the rewards.

6) You can receive "up to" 5,000 coal, because if you only win 1 game and then quit then you will walk away with only 800 coal.

As I am sure you know, having a division of 6 mercenaries during Clan Brawls is not mandatory; the division creator can decide how many players he wants to invite. This feature can represent an exciting opportunity to increase the efficacy of the Clans Recruitments.

Don't you think 1,200,000 Elite commander XP as reward would've been on the right place.
or 500,000 for the tier 8  and 700,000  for completing the rest....

Hi, can you confirm when clan brawls starts on EU server. News article says tomorrow (Wednesday) but in-game today I can create clan brawl divisions and the original dev blog post said they would start today. Thanks.

 

Edit: I think it is tomorrow but if someone could confirm that would be great, thanks.

Well I maybe dumb, but I cannot read anywhere how this works....
- I asked my clan if there were members wanting to participate ,  some say yes, so that's good. but may the group differ each day?
- I looked at the schedule and had to set a prime-time.... so I did on Friday.... even we actually can all days.... Why was this necessary? 
- I see we may start at Wednesday. but what does that Prime-time counts for than?
- If the group is incomplete we can take others till 7 players... must I invite them or is there a auto invite?
- Does it have to be the same group of players all the time and if not.... how to mix in relation to the rewards?
- If it has to be the exact same players... what if one can't play and have to step out. (for a moment or day)

Where is it written , how all rules and options work?

Sorry but I did read that.... you give no answer here.

Maybe because it's so obvious to you , you overlook the fact that people starting this kind of event have very simple questions. 

I had to save a prime-time day. only one was possible .... but why only save one date if you can play all ! ,  once you saved that day?

- I looked at the schedule and I had to set a prime-time.... so I did on Friday.... even we actually can all days.... Why was this necessary? 
- I see we may start at Wednesday. but what does that Prime-time counts for than? (in my case the picked Friday)
- If the group is incomplete we can take others till 7 players... No rookie  explanation on this. for a ROOKIE at this mode this leaves you in the dark...  because it;s not just 1 battle we play . 
- Does it have to be the same group of players all the time and if not.... how to mix?  in relation to the rewards?
- If it has to be the exact same players... what if one can't play and have to step out. (for a moment or day)

some simple actions I must do will bring big questions to me because I don't have a clue.
and nowhere in the portal article there is this real easy rookie explanation how this work. step by step

You can set the prime time slot once for the entire period of the clan brawl. For these clan brawls (the 14th and 15th) there is no option of playing in prime times other than our own.

Yes, the group can differ. Because players receive rewards based on their personal progress of the reward mission chain they can join and leave at any time.

 

Rewards are given out by the mission chain found under Mission -> Clan Battles, you can preview them there right now.

 

The rewards are given to each player depending on their total accumulated wins in the mode.

2nd, 4th and 6th wins rewards 500k credits each

9th, 12th and 15th wins rewards 20k commander exp each

20th, 25th and 30th wins reward 500 coal each

Completing all 30 wins completes the mission chain which rewards a further 1000 coal.

 

If your team is comprised of people with different amounts of progress they still accumulate progress and earn rewards independently of each other.

 

The above mission chain represents half of what can be earned by playing the current clan brawl and the chain lasts for 2 days, after which I assume it will reset. Requiring players to win a total of 60 games to earn a mere 3m credits, 120k cxp and 5000 coal.

You will play against clans who have selected the same prime time period. The prime time you selected applies to the whole of clan brawl, which should be indicated on the clan battle schedule screen.

 

Selecting a prime time is necessary because you can only play for a period of 5 hours each day. You might prefer to play during a later or earlier prime time period depending on your clan members needs. For these instances of clan brawl we are not allowed to choose a prime time other than EU though, so being made to choose a prime time seems a bit pointless but it is part of the normal process.

You selected a prime time for the entire period clan battle period (all 5 days, in this instance), your selection is locked upon playing your first battle.

The group is primarily comprised of clan mates. If you can't find 7 clan members to form a team, you can invite outsiders as mercenaries. There does not appear to be any distinction between clan members and mercenaries this season, you could make the entire team out of players from outside the clan. There is no benefit to the host clan itself so there is no downside to inviting mercenaries. To invite a mercenary you simply invite them like you normally would any other player.

 

The mercenaries do not count as clan members for the purposes of clan base economic bonuses and any oil they earn for the battles (which is typically rewarded for Clan Wars, not Brawls) goes to their own clan.

It doesn't have to be the same group, you can change a player every game if you want. Each player progresses their mission chain independently.

If you win 5 games and then swap one player for another the new player would start from his 0/30 win progress but the remaining players would continue with the 5/30 win progress they had already made. Players won't lose to inherit any mission progress.

Very helpful for this clan-commander that is clearly a rookie to the brawls.

One thing that is very confusing though,... and totally not logic.
Specially if you still have to figure out how everything works...
After all, I don't want to mess up towards my clan mates right at the first time of trying this mode...

The Prime-time setting....   
Logic we have to play at our own time set.
matter of fact,... I had no option to make a mistake here...
But a simple "participate" button looks far less confusing as a "choose one out of days" , just to participate all 5 days.

It was included in the article what the prime time periods are and also a mention that the prime time for the purposes of Brawls could not be changed from the servers native prime time.

 

I do not know why it was required for commanders to have to select a prime time when only one is available but I can only assume it is because clan brawl follows the same process as regular clan battles where selecting a clan battle period is mandatory but you can atleast choose from any of the four prime time slots.

 

The article does miss some details regarding specifically how clan modes work and run. For someone who has organised their clan for Clan Wars in the past these particulars would be more apparent, it appears WG have made some assumptions in their article that all clan leaders have some prior experience which seems odd when Clan Brawls are like a mini-"clan war" and so are better suited to smaller/less experienced clans, those that may not yet have taken part in CW proper, who would benefit from elaborating the specifics of how these clan modes work.

Actually the rewards were kinda nice. If you flag your ship you can make about 20k FXP with a win.... thats the main reward imo (I made about 140k FXP in that session). 

 

Anyways, was fun, we had a good laugh. Made a "Nations Challenge" (only picks from one nation allowed)... KM and IJN won, Murica lost (we shouldnt have brought 5 Anchorages tho...)

sorry if I'm mistaken something here, but "if you flag your ship out".....
Well that is not part of the rewards.

If I flag my ship out in solo randoms,
I make about 20k FXP every random win. on top of such wins there are about plus40k elite comm. and very good silver.
That are the flags you have to bring.

So keep out the flags as reasons how "good" the rewards are.

these rewards are basically  not worth playing for.
you have to win 15 times.
And where there are winners , there are losers. So this will not be 15 battles played.

Sure it's fun to play with you own and known... there is the reward.
And honestly I think, having fun with your friends is the only reward here.

because you may get these rewards in 22 battles (at 70% win rate)
but at 45% win rate this will take 34 battles....
And no matter how good you are,.. you may find yourself in the losing team.

So let's say at 50/50 you need 30 battles to get 5,000 coal. 3,000,000 silver and 120,000 elite comm. XP 
that's 165 coal per battle
100;000 credits per battle
4000 elite commander XP per battle.

except for the coal... you'll make the same in an average lose random.
and you even don't have to bring flags to that losing random.... a simple camo will do that job.

But you don't have to make 2500 basisXP to get there.

anyway, flagged out, 20FXP ain't that special to add it in the comment.

Still flagging out does not count in this topic's reward value .
So basically the brawl rewards are not kinda nice.

Most of the battles are just basic ,
but if I do flag out my ship in random... I do about 16k to 24k free XP
only thing is.... I run out of flags so quickly than.

So When I feel healthy enough to play well,...  I do take those flags.
and yes, even my stats looks not that good,... I do make lots of FXP on a feel-good-day.

Sorry, I didn't want to offend you but flags are not part of the reward.

You looked up my stats for sure,...
Well keep in mind.
I have only 5% sight in one eye,
the other eye has black spots in it.
So I can't take my hand off the keyboard while playing... (can't find the right keys back in that case)
Many days I feel tired very quick because of this.
Sometimes the black spots in my eye are at the right place... than I take my flags on my ships.
You just can't judge players by stats.
