Pass level on Ranked Battles

If anyone can help I would like to know how to pass the next bronze to silver league with 4 consecutive victories what is the lottery?
I admit that I lose a star in 3 games now as in my case where I had 7 consecutive losses as possible? I even know that I play badly but 7 losses in a row cannot be the fault of my bad game alone.
Maybe an absurd matchmaking that only counts the Tier of the ships and not the level of the players, I am finally in the bronze because I don't want to be upset anymore, it is sad a game that had everything to be excellent is reasonably worth the good graphics.

WG had to put a small barrier in this bronze league. Getting to R1 in bronze is way too easy.

So now three options: 

Put your carry pants on and play to win,

Take out an HE backline spamming BB and play to save your stars; 

Go in full grind mode and eventually you'll get there as well.

What do you want the matchmaking to do ???

 

Mirror the playerskill on both teams, so everybody gets 50% winrate? Will that solve your problem of being unable to get 4 wins in a row?

Who says that you would have lost all if you would have played better?
So in the end, its probably a combination of both.

 

Also, you probably just shouldnt go to silver league at all...

Here is the thing: maybe silver league is just not meant for you? WG implemented these leagues to divide the players by skill. So for you to get there - you need to step up your game. Watch youtube videos, learn all the details of the game mechanics, understand, why you lose games, how you are resposible for that, what to do better, learn the maps, the spots where to be, learn the ships characteristics, their caliber, who has torps, the radar range, which ships you can overmatch - what overmatch is in the first place - who can overmatch you... list goes on. If you are not willing to invest that much work and time into learning the game - bronze league is made for you.

Make the first 2 players of the losing team get a star, and the last 2 players of the winning team lose a star. Could also be done with the first/last 3 players.

Basically, you need to play consistently well, and not be struck by bad luck.

 

Also, pick whichever ship (at the relevant tier) you do consistently well with; if your skill level is borderline, there is perhaps a case to be made for avoiding ships that are expected to punch above their weight (CVs, for example).

 

I've been busy snowflaking, so haven't played much Ranked so far (three games, won two), but my personal approach is as follows:

• Try and establish if there is anything weird about the meta (for example, DDs normally work fine, but were a poor choice in the 'Pommern' season of Sprint); if there is, pick accordingly, otherwise do the following.
• Which ships am I least bad in (I only have a 48% WR overall, so I need all the help I can get)? This gives a short list.
• Which ships have the best possible captain available for them? You have a lot of advantages with a 19 point captain, compared to - say - a 6 pointer.
• CVs are a blight on 'small map' game modes especially; however, we're stuck with them. Think about the ships/captains on your short list: which ones are you confident that you can function in a CV environment with?

That thought process (or something like it) should help you identify which ships to play; after that, it's a matter of doing everything you can to maximise your chances of putting in four excellent games in a row (the aim being to - ideally - win, or save a star).

• Are you tired/pi$$ed off? If you are, do something else - frustration and irritation increase the likelihood of messing up.
• Play the same ship consistently, or at least ships that are as similar as possible; several games in a row in the same ship can increase your chances, as you get more fluent with repeated use of the same ship.

Ultimately though, if you're of a similar standard to me (i.e. sub-average), there comes a time where we have to accept we have a ceiling (at least if we want to stay sane and/or have a life); it may simply be that we're not good enough to get to silver this time (ask me again in a few days, when I get to the qualification stage). If that's so, then we need to go away and practice more for next time - Ranked isn't going anywhere any time soon.

 

BTW there is actually quite a good argument in favour of deliberately not qualifying for too high a league: the lower leagues tend to offer a better effort-reward ratio; for example, even if I were actually any good, I don't think I'd want to go above silver as the amount of effort you need to put in to get the rewards in gold - IMO - is far too high.

Hate to break it to you, but since when is XP earned showing that you played for the team? All it rewards is damage.

That's why I suggested solution 2 to OP. Easy as hell. Plus, you are always a contender for top spot, even if you don't play for your team.

That has nothing to do with matchmaking though. 

 

The whole idea of "skill-based matchmaking" is completely pathetic and would not work. 

 

What's supposed to get people of a (somewhat) similar skill level together, is actually the progression through the leagues, but the OP here cannot accept that he is at the bottom of that.

Way i see it bronze is a cackewalk due to the irrevocables and since silve gives you net 2k more coal as final rank out prize I am inclined to stay in bronze...

Thank god for that.

Bronze is already super easy with all the irrevocable ranks, and the qualification is just 4 stars or something? So even the biggest potatoes can just afk/spam their way to Silver....

I agree. I kinda find it odd, the way WG distributed the rewards. Given, that I dont play that much recently either way, I have enough to do with with the 15~20 games in bronze each week. And I get almost the same rewards?

IMO - you should get the weekly bronze rewards the moment you win the first game in silver but then again.. that would be too easy too, right? So maybe the system itself is flawed or silver and especially gold need way better rewards.

i looked some streamers and they had very hard to go silver, one thing is finish the bronze self another is actually go to next level
