2nd sprint in Bronze League: I won 16 of 23 battles (70%).

3rd sprint in Bronze League: I won 10 of 12 battles (83%).

 

I played cruisers and destroyers.

It is boring to win so that all our ships survive and all enemy ships sink.

It is boring to see the battle from the opposite side.

It looks like everything is decided in advance (maybe 1-2% is what we might call a good battle)

I'm in the gold league but just give it up.

Incompetence, mine and my teammates

Had some amazing games without help but this is another story. Almost reached gold when i had 4 stars and then a losing steak and my family and work kept me out. I miss the old format in rank battles, it started promising but in the end is a compressed version of random battles. Typical WG innovation!!!!!

We all have a bad game, my performance is not the point. I was horrible, i explained that to another forum member. The issue is that there is team imbalance, as usual. Instead of focusing to that and give our feedback to WG in hope to improve the rank games we are, actually you distract the whole conersation....

The problem is, its ok for you to be bad

" first game" "i was distracted" "i had a bad game"

so your team is ofc not allowed to have any of those. They just suck - always, not your fault. Excuses for you, shame for your teammates...

They can blame you EVEN MORE than you blamed them, because you got last place in a CV.

Not surprised. Clear connection between bad player, lack of respect, behavioural problem and no self-refelction. Not like we havent seen this a million times.

I like rank as there are fewer players and it feels like there's a chance to have a bigger impact.  

 

Upon getting to the qualification round for silver, I chose to grab some snow flakes... Sailing Lion again reminds me why it's been a port queen for many months.  Once in the wheel house of the mino I figured I'd be back to making a positive contribution... but facing radar cruisers, and cvs reminds me of how situational the mino can be and with smaller teams the matchmaking roll of the dice makes a big difference.  I ended the day with a game in the Thunderer just for solace...

 

There is a different thread critical of this season of ranks as it resets progress - the point made is that it feels demoralizing to have to start at tier 1 after every reset.  I totally understand the criticism but so far I'm comfortable with the format.. now I just have to see if I can figure out how to progress to silver and beyond without having to use the Thunderer crutch... If I can't and get reset to tier 1 Bronze I'm going to end up pretty demoralized too

Based on what? Are you running MM monitor (and even that might be flawed if people are actually trying to improve an atrocious Winrate)?

 

In my experience - yes, you can make mistakes. But these kind of results are often NOT the result of one team having inherently better players, but the result of one team coming up with a plan, and at least part of that team actually co-operating.

Still the same! Same mediocre players who think that reaching tier 10 means you're automatically a good player    Same amount of low brains is hilarious who have reached tier 10 and still can't radar properly, smoke properly & just generally play with common sense. And the endless cryers in the chatbox is hilarious! They play like utter planks and its everyone else's fault and you never hear the end of it. To many people take it way to seriously IMO. Way to seriously. I generally can't complain though since i've i didn't set the bar high for myself because i generally don't care but have reached rank 2 in silver atm  rank 1? Who knows  

 

But all in all, its incredibly mediocre with a lot of toxic players & egos from average players. Its all taken a little to serious & the fun is taken straight out of the game! All people want are wins wins wins and if the team isn't decent, here comes the moaning, crying, reporting, map clicking. Its all rather petty then if you played good enough you can save your star which IMO is dumb but that's for a different time.

So far I'm very far from hate towards reworked Rankeds and I really like them. First Sprint on Enterprise, second on Kaga and Enterprise, third on August von Parseval as I decided to grind to all remaining TX CV's in this mode as I have Audacious grinded in Assymetric Battles  70% of needed exp on August von Parseval grinded in Sprint so Red Baron is closer. Next will be used in Sprint Shokaku to get Hakuryu and from Lexington into Midway as Lexi needs much more love in case of unlocking better planes and hull as same as Ovechkin has only 10 points

I remember seeing some posts that one needs to have certain amount of battles to participate in ranked mode.  Here, posting this to disprove those thoughts that if you have only 30 battles or perhaps even less, you can enjoy the new ranked mode. 

This player has played 30 games (yes, total) in random and has 58 battles in ranked.

(No, it's not naming and shaming, i am only displaying and mentioning about the amount of games the player has in random and ranked. Also posting an in-game screen shot, in case there will be doubts that he was really in the game or it was bug. He was in the game and this new mode just can put a fresh beginner next to the player with highest amount of battles. You be the judge!).

Then, bot is really the correct term we use here quite often.
