In Pursuit of Strasbourg campaign

 

 

Part 1 opens immediately. Part 2 after 7 days, Part 3 after 14 days, Part 4 after 21 days.

 

1.1 1 Star. Earn 5 "Destroyed" ribbons (Random, Ranked, Co-op)

1.2 3 Stars. Earn 12,500 base XP (Random, Ranked, Co-op, Scenario)

1.3 2 Stars. Cause 550,000 HP damage to enemy ships. (CV only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

1.4 2 Stars. Receive 11,000,000 HP of potential damage (BB only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

1.5 2 Stars. Cause 400,000 HP of damage to enemy ships (Cruiser only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

1.6 2 Stars. Earn 25 "Torpedo Hits" ribbons (DD only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

1.7 2 Stars. Earn 5 "Destroyed" ribbons (Hizen only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

8 Stars to unlock final task: Earn 2,000,000 credits (Random, Ranked, Co-op). Reward: 6-point "Santa"-captain for Chengan.

 

2.1 1 Star. Earn any 250 ribbons (Random, Ranked, Co-op)

2.2 3 Stars. Earn 60,000 XP ((Random, Ranked, Co-op, Scenario)

2.3 2 Stars. Earn 50 "Aircraft Shot Down" and/or "Shot Down By Fighter" ribbons (CV only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

2.4 2 Stars. Cause 600,000 HP of damage to enemy ships. (BB only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

2.5 2 Stars. Earn 12 "Hits to Citadel" ribbons (Cruiser only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

2.6 2 Stars. Cause 250,000 HP of damage to enemy ships with torpedoes (DD only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

2.7 2 Stars. Cause 300,000 HP of damage to enemy ships (Hizen only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

Final Task: Earn 12,500 base XP (Random, Ranked, Co-op). Reward: 6-point "Santa"-captain for Eritrea.

 

3.1 1 Star. Win 5 battles (Random, Ranked, Co-op)

3.2 3 Stars. Earn 100,000 Free XP (Random, Ranked, Co-op, Scenario)

3.3 2 Stars. Earn 480,000 spotting damage (CV only, Random, Ranked, Co-op))

3.4 2 Stars. Earn 45 "Set on Fire" and/or "Hits to Citadel" ribbons (BB only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

3.5 2 Stars. Earn 40 "Spotted", "Destroyed", and/or "Defended" ribbons (Cruiser only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

3.6 2 Stars. Cause 480,000 HP of damage to enemy ships (DD only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

3.7 2 Stars. Receive 10,000,000 potential damage (Hizen only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

Final Task: Earn 4,000,000 credits (Random, Ranked, Co-op). Reward: 6-point "Santa"-captain for Strasbourg.

 

4.1 1 Star. Cause 380,000 HP of damage to enemy ships  (Random, Ranked, Co-op)

4.2 3 Stars. Rank 12 times among the top-5 XP earners on your team  (Random, Ranked, Co-op)

4.3 2 Stars. Cause 850,000 HP of damage to enemy ships  (CV only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

4.4 2 Stars. Cause 750,000 HP of damage to enemy ships with main battery guns  (BB only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

4.5 2 Stars. Receive 12,000,000 HP of potential damage  (Cruiser only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

4.6 2 Stars. Cause 250,000 HP of spotting damage (DD only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

4.72 Stars. Earn 1,800,000 credits  (Hizen only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

Final Task: Earn 20,000 base XP  (Random, Ranked, Co-op). Reward: Tier 7 Premium French Battleship Strasbourg with additional "Winter"-themed permaflage.

 

All Tier 5+

 

Ships and Fate campaign

 

Each stage has a similar reward package for the Final Task: a Tier 5 silver ship, "Winter"-themed permaflage, 6-point Santa-themed captain for that ship, and 1x "Santa's Gift" Container.

 

1.1 1 Star. Earn 500,000 credits (Random, Ranked, Co-op)

1.2 1 Star. Cause 25,000 HP of damage to enemy ships with main battery guns (Furutaka only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

1.3 2 Stars. Earn 4,500 base XP (Random, Ranked, Co-op, Scenarios)

1.4 3 Stars. Cause 450,000 HP of damage to enemy ships (Random, Ranked, Co-op)

1.5 3 Stars. Earn 3 "Destroyed" ribbons (Hizen only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

Final Task (8 Stars req.): Win 1 battle (Strasbourg only, Random, Ranked, Co-op). Reward: Furutaka package

 

So at least you can earn the 8 stars before acquiring Strasbourg, and then continue with the rest of the campaign immediately.

 

2.1 1 Star. Earn 15 "Aircraft shot down" and/or "Shot down by fighter" ribbons (Random, Ranked, Co-op)

2.2 1 Star. Earn 7 "Destroyed" and/or "Spotted" ribbons (T-22 only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

2.3 2 Stars. Earn 30,000 XP (Random, Ranked, Co-op, Scenarios)

2.4 3 Stars. Earn 12 "Destroyed" ribbons (Random, Ranked, Co-op)

2.5 3 Stars. Cause 150,000 HP of damage to enemy ships ((Hizen only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

Final Task: Win 1 battle (Furutaka only, Random, Ranked, Co-op). Reward: T-22 package

 

3.1 1 Stars. Earn 3 "Captured" and/or "Assisted in capture"  ribbons (Random, Ranked, Co-op)

3.2 1 Stars. Earn 9 "Destroyed" and/or "Torpedo hits" ribbons (Hawkins only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

3.3 2 Stars. Cause 300,000 HP of damage to enemy ships (Random, Ranked, Co-op)

3.4 3 Stars. Earn 11,500 base XP (Random, Ranked, Co-op, Scenarios)

3.5 3 Stars. Earn 600,000 credits (Hizen only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

Final Task: Win 1 battle (T-22 only, Random, Ranked, Co-op). Reward: Hawkins package

 

4.1 1 Stars. Earn any 150 ribbons (Random, Ranked, Co-op)

4.2 1 Stars. Earn 5 "Torpedo hits" ribbons (Visby only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

4.3 2 Stars. Earn a total of 35,000 Free XP (Random, Ranked, Co-op, Scenarios)

4.4 3 Stars. Rank 8 times among the top-5 XP earners on your team (Random, Ranked, Co-op)

4.5 3 Stars. Earn 12,000 XP (Hizen only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

Final Task: Win 1 battle (Hawkins only, Random, Ranked, Co-op). Reward: Visby package

 

5.1 1 Stars. Earn 10 "Torpedo hits" and/or "Set on fire" ribbons (Random, Ranked, Co-op)

5.2 1 Stars. Cause 65,000 HP of damage to enemy ships (Kotovsky only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

5.3 2 Stars. Earn 1,000,000 credits (Random, Ranked, Co-op, Scenarios)

5.4 3 Stars. Earn 10 "Incapacitations" ribbons (Random, Ranked, Co-op)

5.5 3 Stars. Earn 3,000 base XP (Hizen only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

Final Task: Win 1 battle (Visby only, Random, Ranked, Co-op). Reward: Kotovsky package

 

6.1 1 Stars. Earn 800,000 credits (Random, Ranked, Co-op, Scenarios)

6.2 1 Stars. Cause 90,000 HP of damage to enemy ships with main battery (New York only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

6.3 2 Stars. Earn 8,000 base XP (Random, Ranked, Co-op)

6.4 3 Stars. Earn 12 "Destroyed" ribbons (Random, Ranked, Co-op)

6.5 3 Stars. Cause 250,000 HP of damage to enemy ships (Hizen only, Random, Ranked, Co-op)

Final Task: Win 1 battle (Kotovsky only, Random, Ranked, Co-op). Reward: New York package

First glance: Strasbourg is doable especially when you regrind the same most easy missions for the required stars in coop. Final missions are sometimes painful but doable. Surprised that it is Hizen that makes the mission more easy, would have suspected that the mission would have a Strasbourg requirement as to promote early buyers for getting the dual benefit of starting the second campaign from day one and while making the Strasbourg campaign more easy to get a refund of some doubloons.

 

Verdict: will get Strasbourg free, if time left for second group of missions after getting the Strasbourg that’s an added bonus.but with only 9 days left for completing the 4 th part and the requirements very unlikely although the first part for the Furataka can be worked on in advance.

It's hilarious how the Strasbourg campaign has some tasks with the restriction  Hizen only.

But not the Dunkerque.

It's only the sister ship after all ...

For us F2P players, yes, we get up to 9 days to finish the first final task, and then parts 2 to 6. Bearing in mind the final rewards are silver ships (credit compensation), slots, Winter permaflages, and Santa themed 6-point captains.

 

Hopefully all the Final Tasks will continue to require 8 Stars.

 

Of particular note for co-op grinding:

Part 2: The T-22 Mission for 1-star combined with the 12 Destroyed ribbons for 3-stars should be easy to farm.

Part 3: 300,000 HP damage for 2-stars should be easy to farm (4x)

Part 4: Ranking top 8 for 3-stars (3x) should be easy

Part 5: 10 Incapacitation ribbons for 3-stars combined with the 10Torpedo Hits and/or Set on Fire ribbons for 1-star are easily farmable.

Part 6: 12 Destroyed for 3-stars (3x) is easily farmable.

yeah, that's my only element of disappointment; i was expecting missions for Dunkerque or maybe Strasbourg herself, but Hizen? That's a yikes. 

 

The missions seem reasonable tbh, and i don't care about the second camapign, i already have all those ships but T-22, which i'll re-buy anyway at some point and i don't care about the perma camos.

I'll probably try to get the Strasbourg because it looks like a decent ship (hey, it's basically Dunquerque given the Jean Bart treatment, and I do love muh Jean Bart).

I will give a try for the Strasbourg grind. Won't waste my time on the second campaign. I already have most of the ships and not really interested in a hasty grind for T5 special camos and 6 point commanders.

I am a bit low on cash and have most of these ships in port. Last time we got full silver compensation for getting duplicates of these ships. So that’s 6* 2 m (?) silver added to the permanent camo, port slots and 6 point captains that can be recycled for captain xp in 2021.

This is pretty much me too (although compensatory silver would be handy - I burned through an awful lot recently, getting several new T8-10 ships); not sure how much time/effort I'll devote to it though - my enthusiasm to play has been somewhat dented by the captain rework business.

 

T5 permaflage occasionally comes in handy (T22 will be especially useful, as I actually like her, which isn't hugely common for T5s that aren't Kami sisters)...

Alone each grind is not the worst. It’s the combination of grinds together with snowflake clearing.. Like when you have a torphits/ dd mission you normaly spam a high tier ship that is best suited. With snowflakes you are guided to remove the snowflakes from other, less suited, dd’s just to progress on your snowflakes.

 

Its the combination of goals and the counterplay between different objectives that makes thing difficult. Best way is to focus on 1 or max 2 goals if you want to limit time spend and not willing to buy off your grind with cash.

Full silver compensation for Tier 5 ships?

 

1,370,000 for Furutaka

1,320,000 for T-22

1,400,000 for Hawkins

1,350,000 for Visby

1,280,000 for Kotovsky

1,500,000 for New York

8,220,000 in Total

 

Port Slots are not explicitly mentioned, but a reasonable assumption.

All ships come equipped with a Santa themed 6-point commander "homed" to that ship. If you already have the ship in Port with an assigned captain then the 6-point reward captain will go to your Reserve. If your Reserve is full at the time an extra place will be added to make room (i.e. fill-out your Reserve for free spaces if you don't have many and want some more).
