The server unavailable message states that the servers were unavailable yesterday the 17th rather than today the 18th.

Because it was probably one of the small gifts awarded either by the advent calender or the combat missions that gave small crates that were given out via codes recently. Clearly the features and rewards mentioned in an article about 0.9.12 won't become available before 0.9.12 actually goes live, that's how it's worked in every update since the game went live.

 

BTW does anyone else get this issue when trying to view the video?

Went to the armory got a free Santa's gift container.

Went to the premium shop and the website, but got no containers.

 

Anyone having the same problem?

No, the container you got in Armory was just a coincidence.
that was 1 of 2 containers you will get  randomly. for daily free log-in gifts.

This will be the first year at Christmas where WoWs for me has been trumped by another non-WG game. I feel bitter about the crate joke and and definitely won't be griding through anything this 'festive' season. Perhaps the words scrawled across the jumper i'm currently wearing say it the best 'Bah Humbug'.

 

The santa crate, argued by some as a 'free' for tier x battles is rather underwhelming, with steel at the lower tiers being far more lucrative, but even so, I want to play the ships I enjoy playing, not all of them over and over again. Lucky for me I'm not that desperate nor controlled by a fear of losing out. Good luck to the rest of you.

Two pages in and I'd like to say on behalf of my 'fellow' players thank you for some free stuff, and a Merry Christmas to you all too.

 

Of course it's hideously confusing and dotted with cash grabs, but if it wasn't we'd think that something was wrong over there......

and releasing a patch and not activating its goodies for  4 days +, is superlame, run it by your company psycholigist to explain u why im dissapointed after waiting 20 mins to patch and logging in to find nothing changed

Those normal containers for t10 have so little value the coal you get for tier 5s is a better reward.

You can have my Missouri in exchange for Musashi :-)

When these ships came out Missouri was better suited for the meta and I decided against Musashi (both for 750000 freeexp)
