I really hope they fix the snowflake reward containers before the next update 0.9.12 and 10.00 

 

Especially with the santa containers. Otherwise they are going to get even more unhappy customers 😕

The T10 reward is a Santa's Gift crate per T10 - which has a shortlist of 3 ships IIRC - but as these ones are free rather requiring cash, I'm less inclined to rage over these free crates about the lack of "fairness" in the shortlist scheme they are running.

The word is that every Tier X snowflake will be rewarded with a  Santa Container! If you are lucky, you might win the Mighty Makarov in the end!

I haven't checked this year, but my memory is that if one has every last ship on the premium list for the boxes, you just get one of the other prizes; as I recall the get-a-duplicate-and-get-doubloons compensation mechanism that we sometimes see only kicks in in very unlikely circumstances.

 

The basic crates, which are also the type you get for T10 snowflakes, have a *very* low ship drop chance anyway I believe, although I've had two freebies so far this year and got a few hundred doubloons from each (which I can't carp about).

so yes, for players that own all ships (and therefore supported WG very much in the past) WG has removed the possibilty for a "jackpot" completely...

If you have every ship in the list - then you'll mostly get camo and some coal. At least this year it's less premium time.

Unfortunately for you Snowflakes only give the cheapest Santa Gift crate whilst the Makarov's come in the Santa's Big Gift crate  (the middle one of the 3 crates) however, as Harbinger mentioned, you'll get one of these after 24 days of the advent calender.

I wouldn't worry about it, the drop rate is so poor that you're more likely to die from choking on an single plankton than winning a ship.

Just to clarify, that only applies where you own every single ship on the entire list (so including Belfast, Neustrashimy, Missouri etc). If you have the ship on the shortlist, then it'll reroll another ship from the full list. It's exactly the same way that santa crates have worked since they were introduced 4 or 5 years ago.

No it is not, this change was introduced only last year. In the years before you could get ship drops even when you owned all possible ships (including the rare ones), and those drops (of duplicate ships) were compensated with doubloons. (And there everyone could see that there were "standard" ship drops...)

This free stuff would never happen without customer support (us, players base with our money) and this game would die long time ago.

So yea, I doubt that complain for something you get in return for your money investment into something would be wrong.
