Well, what do you not understand?

 

If you want your money back, you need to give them their goods back. That's how it works in basically any trade deal. No goods returned = no money returned.

 

WG is offering you extra service here, if you no longer have the goods they can "send you back through the time" so it looks like the deal never happened = you have your money, they have their goods.

 

Take it or leave it.

Wow, so folks that have been grinding ships etc... will get their accounts rolled back and all their progress is lost? Another epic move from WG.

First of all try to talk nice @Asta__Roth second WG are not offering for their good will they are doing it because they have been caught with their hands down in the cookiejar pure and simple

It seems that this full, generous and honest (russian) refund will cost me:

  1. Both Verizon containers
  2. Advent Calendar progress and possibility for the final reward
  3. Grind of 4 days (including those containers).

If it only would be so easy? What about the twitch drops someone got from the tournament last weekend? All drops (including one or more potential ship) will be gone for good, because you can not re-watch the stream to get the drops again. What about the Christmas calendar? You can pick up the stuff only 7 days after, but a rollback brings you potentially over these 7 days, so you can not get that stuff back either. What if you joined a clan or left one? Had amazing Supercontainer from daily missions? Grinded ship lines? And so on, all gone. And why? Because THEY fucked up the whole thing AGAIN.

So if you have got twitch drops and the calendar drops. those will be lost as well..

The roll-back is to de-incentivize a refund as you lose all progress, lets say you got Duke of York from the Twitch Supercontainer, you lose it ... Pearl Harbor anniversary? also gone.

quick question and how does it work i mean how they refund the money that you spend its automatic with the account rollback or it needs some time if anyone can anwser

You make it sound like WG is being nice here? Seriously?

 

WG have seemingly adopted EAs morals and ethical practices, and got caught.

And instead of owning up to it, they passs the short straw tp the players!

And yes loosing several days of grinding for no mistake of their own, is a punishment!

The reality is "yes okay, unfortunally you caught us. But the only effort we are willing to put in is a simple roll back....."

 

had they any decency, they would have done something like:

 

"Yes we made a mistake with the containers. But unfortunally it takes too much work to individually remove items from an account, but we can offer a roll back. However we understand loosing all the progress you've made since then, will be a less than ideal solution so we will also offer a compensation of X"

The compensation could be a extra special container with perhaps a bunch (not a handfull but a meaningfull quantity) of special flags, or perhaps Free XP to allow you regain some if not all of the progress you made.

@thimiosve_15 if you have used real money they will be put back into your bankaccount if you have spend doubloons you will get your doubloons back to your account at WG thats how i understand it

I'm talking nice. But if you don't like facts, I can't make them nice for you.

 

I know why are they doing it, I'm trying to explain that they can't take back/remove something that you no longer possess. Thus the roll back.

I'm not trying to defend them, but what you ask is impossible to do.

 

How do you return something that you no longer have? Rollback is the only option.

This is a confusing and over complicated fix that will cost them in the long-run.

 

If WG had fixed the drop rates and sent a new crate that lets people roll against the full 107 ships for every shortlist ship they received, I would have been happy - and would probably have bought more containers closer to the Christmas period.

 

Instead, I have just had to tally up the crate contents and check against my account to make sure I wouldn't get rolled back. I have been left with a bitter taste left in my mouth, will not be buying any more Santa crates this year, and will hold off on any further loot crate purchases in future until the real odds have been determined.
