I asked for a refund on the 12th december, got a reply saying okay they will manually remove the items and refund me, since then they placed ticket on hold and have ignored my messages. So I guess my next step is to request a refund through my bank, if WG lock my account for that I will seek legal advice on how to resolve this issue, as over the years I have spent thousands of £s on this game and if I am denied access to that because WG have mislead me I will not be a happy person.

I applied for a refund on the 8th along with a clan member. Neither of us have got our money back yet. Ive no doubt that WG are waiting to screw people over for using stuff that the containers dropped because its been so long people forget what they actually had. Also think of the yummy interest they are making on YOUR money while they drag it out. If you find out what legal rights you have plz pass that info on to others.

Just got this as well no info on how many dubs or if they will be replaced afterwards as I have enough flags etc that I know I haven't used anything. It is now a matter of principal as far as I'm concerned so I've agreed just want a manual rollback

No ... 5 weeks in and nothing. The moment the request entered manual refund because they had not found any save points, it has been silent ( 3 weeks and counting ). Send a few messages to see if anybody bothered to respond. Nothing again... 

 

Maybe its time to start contacting some of the youtubers to bring this to light because its getting ridiculous!

Yes, I got mine back after a 3 week wait.  But they did manage to [edited] it up and take everything that dropped from any Santa crates including the free ones from missions etc. The PayPal payment was refunded quickly (back in my bank by the time I got home) on the same day. But I did have to chase them and specifically ask where my doubloons were that they didn't refund. When I asked about where the contents of the free crates were several times, I was told each time that they were using a "system" which was precise and accurate and told them exactly what should be removed from my account.  Then someone took it on themself to close my ticket for me.

 

Eventually, after raising another ticket asking that a specialist look at it (and potentially also Yabbacoe looking into it) I got the contents of my free crates back. IIRC, the second ticket from the specialist was answered late the next day and my stuff was returned.

Same here I waiting for more than 4 weeks now to get a "simple rollback" because I used some of the goods from the containers so rollback is the only option.

Really bad customer support that they cant do a rollback within 4 weeks also they stated first a rollback will be done in 7 days.

 

Its even more sad when you read the forums and see that players that opened their ticket later  with a manually refund already have been solved.

 

@WG it would be really appreciated that you improve the way your customer support works. Waiting so long for a simple rollback is really disappointing!

I already filled complain to some authorities and to Paypal, getting tired listening how much they got tickets and how much workload. As new player this is huge disappointment and no trust to this aka game support.  Stay safe guys

So support removed ALL the rewards from the santa containers I had earned, including from snowflakes, missions, and campaign rewards instead of just the containers I asked to be refunded.

 

Amongst other things they removed the Viribus Unitus, a shortlist ship I got from a regular free container.

 

While they were sorting it out, I had another Viribus drop from another free Santa container. If they had not taken the ship from my account in error, I would have recieved another ship from the full list:

If a ship that you already have in your Port is dropped, the Santa's Gift container will be replaced by a supercontainer. The latter will contain another ship from the list along with a Port slot and Commander with 10 skill points.

 

When they compensated me, they gave me a regular super container containing 7 days premium time (now I have 500 days). That's 1,200 doubloons compensation for a ship that costs 5,300 to buy, and should have been a container that can drop up to Tier IX and rare ships. I was supposed to get a 'jackpot reward, and instead support took it away due to their mistake and have closed my tickets claiming "we have done a thorough investigation regarding this matter and added the correct goods to your account.", and refusing to engage with any suggestion that they were incorrect.

 

After a month of trying to sort it out, I've been punished for their screw up and am at my wits end with it all.

Finally seen some action my end, though not had the fund returned to my Paypal account. All i know is they took one ship they shouldn't have, Christ knows what else they took.  Still not sure if they incompetent or malicious?

50% just refund from original amount of how much i bought boxes ? Excuse me WG is this how you work.

And do need send all invoices to paypal to get half amount back ?

I've been waiting since 8th of December, the day i raised the ticket. And all i got is the promise that a 'specialist' will take a closer look for my request to manual remove the contents of 20 Santa's Big Gift containers i purchased with doubloons. That promise was made on 12th of December. It's been more a month since then and the days are still counting. I stopped playing since then to make sure i won't use anything and therefore i missed all the winter events. Thanks, really nice. I also sent a few messages to receive an update but nothing, no reply, not even a buzz. @YabbaCoe, the ticket ID is 128129052 and how about an input on this? Hm? Something? Anything? I understand that you are the guy who gets all the sh*tstorm, since you got the 'joy' of starting this topic, and i really feel sorry for you about that, honestly. I am a very patient man and i get that there were holidays and WG had staff on vacation and all that, but this is getting ridiculous, don't you think?
