I just put a ticket in for a refund of all the santa containers I bought total almost £150.

 

Thing is I would have been happy to buy them if WG was honest and fair, the fact they have handled this whole thing in such a poor manner (punishing players for losing all progression) I have decided to continue playing the game but without any financial input from me any more. I still have over 500 days of premium from containers and purchases made from last Christmas, if I had known then how WG have mislead me I would not have made those purchase either. 

 

Over the years I have spent around $5000 on WG titles, now they have upset me and that means over the next few years they will be several thousand pounds down just from one player! If other players took it the same way then WG would have no choice but to change their ways into something closely resembling being even remotely honest. Or face the fact they actually need paying customers more than the customers need them, as they would all be looking for a new job.

Does anyone know what will happen with the other items purchased after we bought Santa gifts? So if they rollback the account to a date before we purchased the gifts, all other items bought should also be gone and refunded, right?

While i think the refunds are a strong option, with a very transparent process & i really won't complain about it, the waiting times are a tad longer than promised even. 
5 days after ticket creation i'm only now getting the response that it can take up to a week to process, which would mean it can take a total of 12 days. Thats okay, just a minor inconvenience cause i gotta make sure i don't accidentally spend my goods, but thats on me i guess. 

Still, pretty well handled IMO, but next time WG should really stay away from tiered draw systems, just use a chance for a ship to drop and then once you drop a premium ship roll straight which ship it will be instead of using shortlists etc. 
And if you wanna do shortlists, at the very least use a list of ships that makes a bit more sense with some popular ships such that veteran players may get off better- this game is getting ever less interesting to veterans due to mechanics like this. 
Appeal to new players is good, but try to make it even more interesting for your most loyal spenders

A chargeback is when you return money back to an account @arquata2019 it is just a fancy way to say it from WG side

I got a Nikolai in Santa Crates in  2018. I didn't know anything about that ship and I thought "What the hell is this?" I was very disappointed.After all is a Tier IV ship. 

So I went on You tube and THEN I realized how lucky I was !!

Bottom line : the chance are slim and for sure with the "shortlist" it is even more difficult. but don't think is impossible.

Anyway good luck for your next "opening"

Looking at my paypal feed it seems that they returned everything, but I'll wait a few days for this to appear on my bank account too just to be sure

The crates that were given to me by my frineds were also refunded to them, which was my only fear. I don't mind losing the stuff as long as they get their cash back

A chargeback is specifically when your payment processor (typically your credit card company) reverses the transaction you made, upon your request, resulting in the money being refunded from the vendor's account to yours. If a vendor becomes associated with frequent chargebacks, it is bad for their relationship with the payment processor. If you chargeback a payment to WG, they will lock your account until you reimburse them.

With the decision of continuing to play you agree to another devil's pact. Sooner or later you will find yourself being forced or tempted to spend money once again. Let it be after 100 games with a generous MM when you think "It is not that bad" and want to treat yourself, or getting some new ships in which you have a good MM for a couple of games. You will find yourself being let down again and again. The only logical step is to uninstall all WG crap and find yourself some peace. You will feel much more stressless after a couple of weeks and you actually ask yourself why you have punished yourself with such an RNG and scam riddled game and wasted so many precious hours trying to get good or better in something which is more a heavily influenced simulation environment than what it should be - a game to have some fun with together with your friends. The only thing that keeps WG alive is their toxic vortex of addiction, pure frustration and a portion of success.

I would have agreed with you some time ago, but enough is enough, I play less than I used to already and I already have plenty of ships to play for fun, with this revelation on how WG fix the crates so you cant get the decent ships means enough is enough, I am not a child and know when to put my adult head on.

No, I amn't joking. It's there primarily as a consumer protection measure. Wikipedia has an article giving a brief overview on the subject. It makes sense that WG would lock those who pursue refunds this way out of their accounts, because if chargebacks became known as a viable way of obtaining refunds from WG, they would be commonly used and hurt their standing with the payment processors they deal with, leading to increased costs. Provided WG provides refunds where appropriate, this shouldn't be considered problematic.

Time is ticking away, this is the time of a year I play the most games.
However I can't play until this ticket is solved.
If I'm not playing WoWS, I am playing some other game, and maybe I find, that game to be more entertaining, I'm not saying it will happen, but it could happen.
Hope you get to my ticket soon.

8/12-2020 I bought gold in the Premium Shop, I used that gold to buy Santa's gifts in the Amory

 

I have the invoice for buying the gold in the Premium Shop.

You do not receive an invoice for buying things in the Armory

 

9-12-2020 I made my Ticket, opting for a rollback and a refund for the gold I bought in the Premium Shop (Basically asking WG to restore the gold I bought)

Easy one might think, I even gave them permission to rollback

 

Got this answer:

Hello The_Silver_Ghost,
Thank you for your prompt reply. Sadly our team doesn't have available savepoint to use and complete the rollback process. I'm sending your ticket for the manual refund but it will take more time to be managed. 

 

 

I wrote to WG in the Ticket that they had my permission to rollback to the 1st of November .........................  Still waiting for anything from WG Support, a rollback, a refund, an answer, a free red balloon

As stated above I do not play WoWS while this develops, because I will not let WG off this time, they made a mistake and have to fix it, and as soon as all my gold has be restored (+ 500 Dubloones and 500.000 Credits as a token of goodwill perhaps, like a small compensation for not being able to play WoWS, or maybe the SIROCO or GENOVA or some other ship, a token of goodwill goes a long way, when you have caused a inconvenience for your customers) I will play again and probably buy a new ship with my gold.

Is there any general problem with the support? I asked a week ago for a rollback in my initial request since I sold the bad camos out of the crates.. I got the automatic answer me message the next day and answered it within 30 minutes. Till today nothing happened... Regarding that it will be a rollback to the 4th of december, it is getting nearly impossible for me to get the missing legendary module and I am losing out on the calender drops as well...

Could I get a reply of the Community Team regarding the ticket (ID 128142588)?

Silly question, is the refund just for cash purchases? I bought santa containers for doublons and was wondering whether I can request a refund and how?
