Where to start?

So many others have covered the usual CV pish, laughable MM etc that there's not much more to add.
But today, some stuff happened.
 

 

 

 

 

And then I played a game.
Our T9 Jean Bart B blamed me for his death because I dared to turn my ship without telling him.
It turns out that playing 130 games makes people experts at T9.
Especially when, of the 18 ships he owned, 6 of those are premium, and 5 of those 6 have a B after the name.

And you'll no doubt wonder why people come here to vent their frustrations about this once great game.
Stop doing stupid stuff please, we're bored of it, despite expecting it.

We came close to sinking our "Atlantis" B out of frustration because he has yet to figure out how to activate his radar and that he should pretty please use it when half the team encourages him to do exactly this because we were sailing blindly into the centre cap without any LoS where at least 2 enemy DD were known to be waiting.

Dude with your battle count one would expect you to completely neglect the verbal diarrheas of various random tw*ts as there is usually no need to heed them farther then writing FOF or something similar if even that...

Are you sure about this, as I believe the prem tier VII container was for the King of the Sea collection.

 

Not trying to defend WG or anything but if they look here and see us mixing rewards up about other things ingame they may use that against us.

 

Also gifted a Mega Crate to a Clan Member who has only really started playing this game (only like two premiums, none from shortlist) guess what he got...a Duca haha

I am sure. I checked it 2 days ago and opened a ticket at support asking if they are gonna make available Shipbuilding containers because I was missing only one item to complete it. And as for the KOTS collection is, yet at least, a T7 prem

Shipbuilding collection never gave a premium ship container.

Big santa crate seems right to me (wiki agrees with that), and you should be glad you got a ship out of that. Ive never gotten a ship out of any event container (santas gift, black friday and others... well i got a NC from great 8 containers...)

The ironic thing here is that if he'd kept the original Makarov, then the second time around he would have actually got a random ship from the rest of the Premium fleet instead of one of the shortlisted pieces of crap.  Just another example of why the whole idea behind these crates stinks.

GNB fiasco with artificialy inflated last stage so only few people could get there, CotE fiasco with ballancing teams, Alabama meant only for Supertesters, CC fiasco with German destroyers...

ARP Nachi, sink 20 odd Russian DDs.

Impossible to do as no one in their right mind would take out a Russian DD as they were focussed fired into oblivion.

Doesn't matter if 'event' is over or not. You just don't sell anything premium. With each premium owned you raise your chance of drop you anticipate.

Now and then, there are also events that reimburse you with credits / doubloons for what you already own - like ex. Graf Spee during previous dockyard event.

I do. Makes my port scroll take too long. :) Even if I get the ship again at some point it still comes with a 10 pt skipper. But your advice is sound, if you can afford it.

I feel you. I'm sitting on aging rig myself and port with many ships is not fun experience. I sit at roughly 140 ships, but WG is giving premiums left and right and I'm unwilling also to let go anything above TV.

 

Fun fact. I don't play either russian, us, french or british lines and hardly have any of those nations Premium ships (in fact not many at all since I don't spend money in this game), yet 75% of ships I got from random SC are russian...

Makes you wonder...

The ships which are dropping look very much like the ugly ducklings.  It was never on my mind to spend £30 on a Bagration or an Ochakov because they're not great. The press on Vanguard is poor, Yudachi is regarded as joke, I've seen lots of Lowenhardts (even though that's quite good)... but this isn't surprising, really... they're not going to give 10,000 Belfasts.

Current iteration of containers, yeah. I was referring to 'general' supercontainers though I got over the years.

Judging by the number of people still throwing money at WG "just to prove a point", we need more emphasis on all the crap and lies WG has been telling us over the years. 

I'm even almost tempted to bring back the crapstorm about that cheating supertester in 2015 (which was also around Christmas time btw!!)

That was the only free ARP ship I never got.

Maybe you got in early?  Maybe I got unlucky?  Many maybes.

 

I remember there were few people playing Russian DDs at the time and to get 20 odd Russian DD kills was very difficult even over the timeframe provided. 

From my experience of that one mission requirement, very few people were sailing Russian DD's, when they did they were focused fired to death within the first 5 minutes as almost everyone was chasing Russian DD kills; and of course, less people were playing Russian DDs as they became a priority target for everyone.
