[-IAN-] IanH755 Players 2,100 posts 7,141 battles Report post #10 Posted December 5, 2020 It's odd that WG originally only sold the Makarov back in Xmas '17 for a few weeks before it disappeared for over 2 years, then it popped back up this May '20 for another few weeks only to disappear again (thats when I picked it up). It's not a special ship, it's not an OP ship, it's not even a just a good ship - it's a Russian Nurnberg so I don't understand why WG, prior to the Santa crates, decided to artificially create some "rarity" for this extremely average, and possible a bit Meh, ship over the past 3 years only to spam it into everyone's Santa crates now? 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I wanted it purely for collector reasons because you couldn't get it and I had almost every other Tier VI premium back then. All but two of them. And they had started the Public Test marathon, with "one Tier VI premium that players did not have yet in their ports" as the prize. And I specifically asked player support in advance if that meant I was getting a Makarov if I had every other one. And they said yes. And so I bought the one single other Tier VI premium I did not already have - the West Virginia - to make sure. And then I finished the PTS marathon and got - a second Mutsu. Which was promptly converted into doubloons. I kept sending a few messages to player support, and posting about it on this forum, and messaging with some PR flack or other, Sehales maybe, don't remember. Everybody told me to just get stuffed.
