Someone is being really creative in the excuse department with the actual information needed to make an informed purchase "deemed excessive to the already detailed description". In other words, deliberately omitted. Nice work!

EU have now made the same offer. Have put in for my refund. Hope WG are more open about their "special" offers in future!

So WG admits they did include an algorithm that makes you draw ships from a "short list" first, but instead of FIXING it, they offered a TIMED REFUND until dec. 13th?

 

I think I'm not buying anything from WG ever again.

WG rolled back my account and refunded all my Santa crates. In addition they gave me 10 super-containers by way of an apology.

 

Yahagi, Ashitaka, Marblehead, Texas, Molotov, Leningrad, Cossack, Siroco, Aigle and Genova.

 

I still think they should have disclosed the contents better but I'm pleased they manned-up and offered everybody refunds. The super-containers were a surprise too.

I just kept mine because i couldn't be bothered with the rollback. Got nothing. Just typical of WG that is. Would have been a gesture to give everyone who bought that trash super containers as a gesture but of course they wouldn't.

Very strange, WG rerolled my account but doesn't want to refund. I said it was ok to reroll because I understood that every duped customer could get his money back; used content from the boxes or not....

 

We appreciate you sending us the Order IDs of the Santa Containers you wish to refund. We know how this can be important for you. However, upon checking your account we see that some of the items you got from the Containers are already used and has been consumed. Due to this situation, we can no longer process the refund. 

 

The funny thing is, they rerolled to a state where all containers I bought were back to be opened. So to a point I could not have used anything of the containers.... I now got a feeling I'm getting double scammed because of this.

I even offered them generously to give me a better compensation, an extra 20 mega containers or something like that for all the trouble I went through.. so that they can even keep the damn money, and wished them a merry christmas but all silence...

 

I mean what the f*ck ? Is it me that cannot understand anything of this? Or am I just being doubled scammed by the same company here????

 

I opened all boxes after the reroll and got better results, what should I do? I demanded to reroll again and demand a refund of all my bought santa containers, cause thats what the statement is all about. How the heck should I know beforehand not to use the stuff I got out of the false advertised containers?? :Smile_amazed::Smile_facepalm:

Its a complete shitshow.. We were told we could get refunds and the accounts would be rolled back if items had been used. I couldnt be bothered with the roll back so just accepted being scammed. Now I might just demand a refund and go back to sunday or whenever.

How many containers would one have to buy to be guaranteed at least one of the above ships ?

You basically need every other ship on the list before the rare ones drop. You will first get tier V - VIII, then tier IX (though, very rarely, one might drop earlier, but usually not before there's only like 10 ships left from other tiers in the pool), then the rare ones.

The problem might be if you spent the dobloon that you got from the Boxes. Let's say you had zero dobloon BEFORE buying boxes. You get out of them 4000 Dobloons but you spent them.

Now they have to reroll your account they cant withdraw the dobloon because you spent them.

It's only an hipotesis but I think can be close to the truth.

They did say that an account rollback would be required if any items had been used. I'm not sure how gold impacts that but it shouldnt. Just roll back to the state it was before the boxes were purchased.

This can be very complicated. You can have used gold to retrain captain to buy more containers from the armory to buy a ship...

I see your point. But if they reroll to the point you'll retrieve all containers.. I don't know.. They should be able to reroll to a state you not used anything from the containers. Besides, we all bought the containers before the statement. We could'nt know not to use anything inside the false advertised containers beforehand. Well maybe it's me whining too much, I don't know but it strange, to say the least.

 

I will report if I get a better compensation because they said; we will get our money back. In my reality they don't want to give my money back, they just wanna keep the damn money.:Smile_coin:

 

Plus: Thats the damaged they caused themselves with false advertised containers, not our fault. I even forgot to mention all the premium time I lost in the reroll process, but you know; I took that damage for granted...

Hi Captain, which error you are receiving? Could you share a screenshot?  It might be connected to the high number of requests we are receiving. Maybe wait a bit and try again, or try to use another section when you are creating a ticket. Please, let me know how it goes.

With the poor mind of mine i suspect that with the fear of rollback less players will ask for refund and they will minimize the damage. Cheap and stingy tactics from our dear wee-gee.

The actual idiots are the players who bought the containers and believed their lies... (me included)

Normally they had to return the money without rollback and other thievery tactics...

 

My 2 cents...

Exactly my course of action. I did tell WG the only reason I wouldn't go for a refund was that I couldn't be bothered dealing with the rollback. Truth is it shouldn't have happened in the first place. I had intended to buy more mega containers until I watched streamers call them out. I wasn't unhappy with getting flags and a little gold. Yes it was a very poor return but those things always come in useful. My problem was the deceitful nature of the article. I got tore into the flags before I became aware of the con. I just didn't want to go back.

Exactly. A more promising sign would be an organised boycott of a major event. Just to let WG know that players won't just shrug their shoulders at this garbage. Unfortunately, I don't think that likely so I intend to play down my 3 months premium time and make a serious attempt at going free to play for a while. See how it goes.
