WG promise ship for steel , steel have more value that coal , and is harder to comby , that goy grinded year/two , for those ships , if he knew wg do that , he would save for T10 burgurgone or shikishim ,stalingrad  , and honestly selling those ships for coal is just a [edited] move , I dont have those ships but I am pissed off for that ,  and now what ? , players should trust WG , with steel ships ? , or DB ships ? , I had adventure with blyskawica , I bought her for db , and month later wg , put her in armory for coal , so yeah , there is a few ships that OI would like to have , try , but should I spend money for something "exclusive" , when any time WG can make it random ...

And Neusteshemy & Flint , should stay for steel , or get only avelible from Christmas containers like Missouri.

That is a excuse, if I buy a steel ship this is a decision I am making at the time considering all factors ... not possible future events. Its like buying something a day before it goes into a sale and asking for a refund so you can buy it again with a discount.

And no, they shouldnt ... they were removed as Steel ships because in WG own words, they werent popular, not because they are popular or because they are too powerful but because few picked then up, Coal would (if not for this "people feefees" tax) make this ships more commonly used.

Thanks but do not think this list is complete or at least aligned with the list shown in the video on YouTube. No "rare ship" section nor it adds up to 107.

If a ship is in arsenal for steel as well for coal even the coal one is more expansive ,... which of the 2 you would buy?!

With steel. Would save 91k coal in neutrashimys case so I would deem it worth it. I guess having 60k steel also affects my decision making :Smile_hiding:

So let me get this, you brought something knowing the cost and now are throwing a tantrum because "muh exclusivity" (thats the reason of the inflated price) because you want what you spend back because its "cheaper" to get it in the new currency ...

Do you go to the Apple store and complain about how the latest i*thing* devalued the i*thing* you brought last year and want the money back so you can buy your i*thing* at a discount because its now last year model?

I kinda dont know whats worst, game companies that pull stupid stunts and WG isnt alone in that or the players of said games ... no wonder why I always prefered single player games until ... ok, lets not rant about this, its 2020 and for the major part of the last decade things been ...

don't bother, there is a crap ton of problems with this game and a lot of stems from most of the players being morons.

i bet they don't go complain at their local shop that they are selling a can a coke on special offer cheaper than what they bought last week and demand their money back xD

most of the players are grown ups in this game but have less idea about how standard buy + sell agreements work xD

i tried reasoning with one of those "but i bought for steel and now it's out for coal" types and their reasoning is like talking to a brick wall. they will argue they are right despite having zero reasoning or evidence.

100% you are wrong ! , customer have allways right , WG is compant that earm money of selling ships(among other) in the game , and now if they breake rule that they set , what customer will react ? , will customer be affraid of buying DB ship , because WG can do as they please and put that ship in coal pile ? , should player buy anythig from WG , if they just offer that for free ? .

Coal & steel are resourcess avelible in game in exacage for your time , no one give that to player for free , you need to earn that , and he spended a loot ot time grinding for steel to buy Flint & Black , how many hour he spend dealing with "teamates" in random , how much stress he had doing that ? , I had 17k steel + coal and I spended to get Smolensk & Thunderer , I do not regret that those are great ships , now I have 8800 steel I 32 T8 & 30 T9 so I will get so I should get 4650 steel , I will save that and go for Shikishima , I have just 240k xp grind to get richthofen then I grind , ranger to Midway , and I think before Ita came out , and then I will regrind lines to get Ohio , you wonder why I write all that ?

Simply because that show what commitment to game player have , and  making such a [edited] MOVE , is like take a candy from a baby , yes baby will cry for I while , and then calm down , but that baby will never forget that , same player that spended steel on those ships , those ships should be EXCLUSIVE .

WG is not Apple , they dont have such strong brand , is easy for them to mess up , so they can not turn it back , Neustrachemy is not worth 296k coal, Flint is not worth 176k coal  , I have 210k coal , I will take Moskva on christmas , then Pommren - Z44 - Lazo if future .

What WG shoud do stop Neustrachemy & Flint from going to armory , those ships should stay limited for containers like Missouri.

Neustrashimy was hugely overpriced in steel - that's why it was a total flop, not because its a "bad" ship.

Now in fact any price in coal is good enough since those two "currencies" dont have a reverse exchange rate at all. Its a pretty obvious economy mechanism from "real" world.

E.g. people in communist countries were willing to pay a lot, lot more in local "internationally worthless" currency for luxury, imported goods priced in USD. Why ? Because they didn't have an option to swap their currency for USD.

I bet even if that DD was priced liked 500k coal there would be still some demand from players that previously were blocked by steel wall.

Sorry, but Flamu specifically named this vessel as being useless now. :Smile_sceptic:

Don't bother, he is never going to get it.
He's just stuck in his point of view, not having the slides clue of what other players opinion could be about.

"and a lot of stems from most of the players being morons."
See! there is an other one!

well Azwraith
If you can't follow the logic,... never call them morons!
It looks like you place yourself above other players,.... and clearly you're not

I'm bit more butthurt about the fact that I have to pay 29600 steel now for neustrashimy instead of the old 20500 price :cap_hmm:

One steel still equals to 10 coal.

LOL

Coal is way easier to earn then steel. I won't reccomend to anyone to trade coal 4 steel..

Definitely, coal is usually as a part of some missions and you can earn 400 - 1200 coal per day in More resources containers.

But for steel you need to be active in Ranked battles and Clan Battles and still you will earn just a fracture of how much coal you can earn.. Another source of steel will be snowflakes, yes, but still you can earn much more coal there :cap_haloween:

Your comparison is wrong.

WG repetedly affirmed that STEEL is a precious resource linked to "skill " and is earned almost exclusively in ranked  While Coal is gained simply though playing the game in every mode.

as a matter of fact in best case you can earn 44 steel per day and between 2k and 5K per day of COAL (with container drops).

Steel and Coal are not realy comparable.

I would love to see a mobile phone shop shifting from Euro to paper.. as an accepted currency.

I can't tell you exact date right now, but if you calculate the classic four weeks of the update, you will get around that :cap_like:

Oh? Skill you say ...

Flint as noted "was originally available by reaching Rank 1 in three separate seasons of Ranked Battles", Black was "by reaching Rank 1 in five separate seasons of Ranked Battles", then it became available for Steel with it not being gained "exclusively in ranked".

(And yes, I know so anyone doesnt need to bother about saying how Steel didnt exist back then and its the same thing except with a currency.)

But that is beyond the point, Steel as you pointed out is a limited resource so when you had few ships then you brought then with it ... until other ships appeared, higher tier ships as why spend Steel on a T7 ship when there is a T9 ship or a T10 ship, that shifted how people brought ships and created a situation were ships became unpopular because if I have 20k Steel I rather wait to get Shikishima or FDR that spend it on a T7 ship, by making Steel "rare" they created this situation.

The part I want to stress is that anyone that brought those ships at the time did so willing and should not expect 2-3 years later to get a refund because the acquirement cost was altered, Duke of York is now a Coal ship so following your logic that "precious resource" anyone that got Duke of York for Doubloons should ask for a refund because you can her for Coal in about 3 months? The part I personally dont like is the inflated cost for those ships simply because they were Steel ships and its not in line with Coal ship costs solely for that reason, Coal might be "gained simply though playing the game in every mode" but I am not going to spend about 6-8 months of Coal on a overpriced  just because of that, Flint its over twice the cost of Lazo.

You shouldnt gone there you know because I get to talk about it now.

Steel and Coal are "paper", monopoly money that have no real value ... Doubloons is also monopoly money despite having a legal tender value and this is common when it comes to microtransactions (if we can still call then that) with having to buy "points" to buy "digital items" because there are no refunds, if you buy something with points you are refunded in points and you cannot get your money (legal tender) back because you brought points, not the digital item.

So yes, they do accept monopoly money as said monopoly money was acquired with legal tender and often that is a required step to get a digital item, even if people are asking for "Steel back because it costs coal now" that doesnt change the fact both are monopoly money with "value" assigned by Wargaming that is entirely in their rights to alter the value, method of acquisition or even existence, they can "retire" Steel and unify the currency and still be well within their right.

So no, you could not possibly made a worst statement because the argument being made was about what monopoly money the cost of those ships are, its still "paper" currency, something that is entirely accepted within closed ecosystem stores except lacking a legal tender value.

Maybe, maybe not. :Smile_trollface:

Due to technical issues the Ranked Battles system update has been delayed to a later update.
