Black Friday Mission

Hello Captains,

Well ... I had to do it, I got the JB since I've always wanted that ship and as you all know, it wasn't available. I've play 2 coo-ops and 1 random with amazing results... I LOVE this ship, It's very fun, hits very hard... and has good AA. Well, you know the deal... anyway... my point. When I got it it appears that there's a mission called Black Friday Mission where after 5 battles you get 2500 doublons and 40k coal. I have been playing the battles and still no progress... maybe I'm missing something?

the original Jean bart. Play with the original J.B. to earn the doubloons and the coal.

I assume you have the original J.B., correct?

Yes, the mission is for JB not the JB B

That's the problem with people who can click "buy" but not read text.

You need to do the mission with the NORMAL JB.

Tbh this is what I think of most JB players I encounter... shortly before they ram their full health ship into the nearest enemy cripple.

Don't. J.B black or white edition is an amazing ship if played properly and you will enjoy it.

Yes, exactly. To complete the special mission you need to play with the original version of the ships.

Isn't it a little bit strange though? JB is a premium too isn't it? 

 

So you buy a premium, and to get some cashbak you need another premium.. And it is of course in the text, but since it is against common sense, it is very normal for anyone to just expect the mission to be valid for the ship they just bought.

 

Just boost the price a little and don't confuse people, please maybe WG?

Those missions were usually meant as some kind of compensation for owners of a non-B ship who get the B ship as a drop from a container, because they have now a "duplicate" ship. And WG decided to add those missions also to the ships bought directly in the shop/armory as a bonus...and of course it doesn't make sense to buy the non-B version only to be able to fullfill such a mission

This is WG, obfuscation is a way of life.

For example, last years Puerto Rico mission they even had to release spreadsheets after player backlash that showed what you needed to do

Perhaps a notice on the buy page "If you already have the normal version of this ship you will be rewarded with......"  guess that's too easy and less deceptive

The mission is there for getting it in a container drop and you have the original premium.

I had 3 duplicates, got £20 back in dubloons in missions so not worried about that.

its utter shyte, but they seem to think it is amusing to piss customers off, so they keep doing things like this.

It is a scam to sell a bundle with a combat mission for 2500 dubloons for a ship with the same name - minus one letter.

 

If they really only wanted to compensate someone who owns the original premium ship - the none black version - they would just drop 2500 dubloons into his account without any stupid combat mission.

 

They could clearly state so on the premium shop too. Like saying: "If you already own the non black version of this black version premium ship, we will drop 2500 dubloons into your account as compensation"

 

Instead they opted for the very misleading way they are doing this now, obviously trying to scam  the uninitiated.

 

It is a scam!

Maybe with all these threads appearing every year, Wargaming should think about wording it more clearly.

 

It’s fairly easy for some to miss that there is not a B in the mission requirements.
