11k doubloons for last years captain/flag/patch/-bundles... if you got them before you get refunded with in game credits..... meh.

The bundles are decent value, even if you have all the standard ships.

Just bought x6 Premium crates, was rewarded with free xp, camo and premium time, best advice, if you want a particular black ship buy it, crates are the usual rip off, don't mind too much, I have all the normal current and past ships on offer in black, and I  will use the stuff I got but don't expect any ships from Premium crates unless you are lucky.

It depends on how much you value a paint job. I like the cosmetics, but not willing to pay so much to have a few minutes of extra entertainment in port when I appreciate them.

Not for commander bundles with patches. 11k doubloons is way too expensive.

 

Sadly I was curious about getting one of those black patches but it seems like now the only way to get them is with overpriced bundles...

Sound advice. The only ships I am interested in are in the 2018 crates (Massachusetts, Atago, Asashio) and I'd spend less on a direct purchase of any of them from the shop, where there's a 30% discount, than from a bundle of gambling crates. Just say no, everyone.

Whilst there is nothing that exciting for me in this event as I really dislike gambling with loot boxes. It's certain a lot of people will buy them we only have to look at how many people on twitch last night who kept desperately asking when does Black Friday happen.

tbh I wasn't expecting much, I'm just bored from being stuck in for the last few months and could spare the money for a gamble, but I'd urge people not to rely on the crates if you want ships, even for the more expensive ones, if you want Jean Bart B then just buy it, it will probably work out cheaper :)

 

Only ship I didn't have in normal was the Sims so got the Sims B too just because it's cheaper than the normal one, even using a coupon

 

Also remember the Black Ships missions for doubloons are for the normal version of that ship, not the one you are buying!!!!

It's Wargaming so there are two reads. It's nice that they give some compensation to people already having the original ship, as they get only an expensive paint job. On the other hand they abused the clarity making lot of people believe it's an exceptional deal, pitching the sales a bit more.

I had my eye on that black Hexagon, cause I rock the teal one from spacebattles.

Last year those were, what? 1500 doubloons?

Yesterday I got a request via steam to put WoWS up as a "Labor of Love"-award for the Steam Autumn event....sorry WG havent felt any love this year, only quick hussle for quick buck.

I was expecting some coal (going for thunderer, need 50k coal) in the loot boxes. The only coal they give is for J.B. black edition. The other ships, the black ones only 2500 doubloons. Not a good deal imo. The 250 doubloons bundles are more reasonable but there is the (huge) element of g_a_m_b_l_i_n_g!!!!!!!!!

I read the description twice, yes it is waaaay too costly. I wanted to treat myself a black friday gift but i guess i will skip that. I have in my account 3k doubloons i will buy the 250 doubloons packs in the armory.

When you buy a bundle including a ship and a mission for a ship of the same name - bar one letter - and the mission isn't for the ship in the bundle, it's a scam. Not quite illegal, but definitely as maliciously shady as it can get this side of legal.

 

However since it exists: why didnt I get such a mission for my useless Torpitz duplicate from a black container two years ago. Now i feel scammed twice!

You may regret that you will regret that purchase of 250 doubloon packs. Spending 3k doubloons and you will get mostly camos or only that.

You can get 10 of those crates for free from chain combat missions.

Last 2 crates in that sequentials are premium 2020 crates though IIRC? I seriously doubt you will get 10 of those for free if any for that matter...

No, I think all of them non-premium crates. Its just that, with final 4th mission you get 6 of them at once. 2 of each, 2018, 2019 and 2020.

And 250 doubloons one are also non-premium I believe, because if I remember correct I saw Premium BF crate for 1250 doubloons each.

Well buying in for that is questionable, back in 2018 I bought Black Massa as I didnt have the normal one at that time though and got the normal one from Santa crate afterwards so I did cash the free gold...
