Nope. Khaba needs a concealment or a torp buff

It is halfway there - I am fine with the torpedo range and concealment myself, but what could be the cherry on top would be a rudder speed buff. 

 

Her 'Gimmick' is the armor plating, not her torpedos or stealth mechanics, and to play on that she needs to be able to angle much quicker than she is currently capable off. 

 

But hey... It is a step in the right direction - I been playing her alot more recently and been practising using that gimmick to the full potential, this will certainly help ALOT.

Yes, buffing bomb damage is totally going to fix Implacable when accuracy and lack of penetration is main culprit

Implac is garbage tho and this tiny buff will do nothing to help that, really.

Its a start (and Im really happy about it), but no it isnt. 

Railgun-ships like Smol, Petro, Riga etc. will still kill Khaba easily. Also you have the broken Thunderer that just will load HE. 

 

Its hilarious that Tashkent has better... well... everything than Khaba, except for a 4th Turret and the plating. 

To make Khaba work these days (I dont think it will ever be competitive again) it needs about +1,5km MA Range and 8km Torps (the Kiew ones).

The far more interesting part about this blog is that it seems to be confirmed that battleship SAP will only do overpen(10%) damage to destroyers.

- Update 0.5.12

 

The firing range of Soviet Destroyer Khabarovsk has been decreased by 1,800 m (from 13,040 m to 11,240 m).

The reload time of the 130 mm/55 B-2-U guns mounted on Soviet Destroyers Khabarovsk and Udaloi have been increased by 0.38 seconds (from 4.62 s to 5 s).

 

- Update 0.6.4 

 

Khabarovsk: Basic rudder shift time increased from 6.1s to 11.1s.

 

And the torp range was reduced from 10KM to 6KM.

It's the third time now they buff the bombs. If they just keep buffing bombers to make up for all the drawbacks this ship has, this'll just lead to some meme level bombs.

 

Could also add a third torpedo bomber per attack run.

New skill rework (if it goes through as annonced) will basically kill Khaba alltogether (same as Atlanta) as she cant mount range module, aft will be gone and she has rudder shift of a heavy cruiser...

Total data is irrelevant as the game is now different to two years ago.

Other ships were changed too.

And yes, the changes are for balance.

 

And it seems you overlooked the improvements on other ships.

Kitakaze is extremely strong, a game winning machine very often. It will still be more than fine after this nerf. And I am saying this as an obvious IJN fan. Many other IJN ships could get some buffs, though...

Smolensk has twice the amount of guns and only about 2/3 the HE pen, this change is a 100 m effective detectability increase. It's a nerf, but hardly of the massive kind that makes it impossible to go up against DDs.
