New Orleans: How do you have more than mediocre games?

I had my issues with the Pensacola at times but the AP damage was very good and I still do well with her now.

For the New Orleans I chose aiming systems, propulsion, and steering gears mo 192.168.1.254d 3 but I have no upgrades yet.

it seems like a lot of people use HE with her but I'm finding it to be pretty underwhelming. I have okay games but I have yet to have a good game with her.  10.0.0.0.1

Ships are usually mediocre without upgrades.

 

She has the same guns and shells as Pensacola, but with a better reload.

• get the upgrades
• use islands for cover
• take note of islands that allow you to lob shells over them
• do not get caught in the open by BB
