looks like a lag too me. but not 100% sure.

Would have to say the same, lag/Desync something like that. If so, probably at its worst....

This cant be a lag. That must be a bug or something.

Interestingly, you get hit by torps once you hit the path of the torps. But by the time you get hit by the first torp, the other torps would have passed that point already, thus its impossible to catch them afterwards.

Noticed that, too. I'm wondering about what the know about the Desync issue, and shouldn't that rather work so that they'd hit at the same time they seem to go by, not a few seconds later like here?

The -35 ms ping looks like dc? :fish_glass: For sure its weird

This , along with the low FPS will be due to me copying the video from a replay.

Hm okay I have now idea how the FPS and Ping react in a replay :fish_glass:

The ping is always -35ms in replays. That's the way to identify if a vid was recorded live or made from a replay.

Can anyone tell me what sunk me ?

Yes. your pc.

Its called 18 -20 fps.

Your getting de sink and lag as when the torps appear (instant fps drop). This happened a while ago when an  update caused fps drops. Happens from time to time. Don't know what your specs are (pc) but i would recommend checking for driver updates on your GPU.

Or its time to upgrade components.

I can assure you its not the system , its quite a new build and WOWS is not very demanding , especially at 1920x1080

The FPS drops are only whilst recording the replay with Fraps as its a 1.5GB file for 30 seconds of video , and not during the actual battle itself

the negative ping screams replay which tends to be buggy as all hell when there is desyncs or lag.

That makes no sense ...at all.

A recording of a replay would not effect the original fps. If your using fraps to record your games whilst playing, then that's the problem as its using too much memory trying to record something that's already being recorded by wows program itself.

Games are recorded (if activated) already in the Replay folder under WOWS.

I have just watched the original replay through the WoWs game client and the FPS never dropped below 60 , i dont know if the replay is showing the FPS at the moment of watching the replay , or what was recorded in game if that makes sense.

If you fast forward the replay , the FPS drops so i assume the FPS indicator on the replay is only showing the FPS of the replay and not the actual FPS at the time the torpedo impacted in game.

i dont record whilst playing , i only used fraps to record a section of the replay to be able to upload it (Another reason why i think the FPS is related to the replay)

Someone can check if i upload the original replay ? And how would i go about doing that ?

Ok thanks for that.

Yeah that's a bad one, looks like a really bad de sink as you say fps never dropped below 61 fps on your original file. Possible WG server issue at the time? They can look that up if you send them that recording.

I would send this to support on a ticket (details here: https://eu.wargaming.net/support/en/products/wows/?utm_content=cm-top&utm_source=global-nav&utm_medium=link&utm_campaign=wows-portal) with an explanation as that should be looked into and perhaps(not saying they will) a little compensation might come your way?

I probably would not have bothered chasing it up and put it down as a one off , but i think its just happened again  , same ship Z-23 , im just about to watch the replay

Yeah , it happened again , never seen anything as bad as this in 4000+ battles , then it happens twice in the space of 3 or 4 battles.

In this replay , if you fast forward 8 mins or so and play it from about 11.45 remaining on the battle clock.

Might be worth running a  check and repair option under game settings on the game centre hub. This can cure a few issues with a currupted or faulty download of a recent update.

Yeah it did didnt it....does this happen with other ships? (interesting that the hit follows the exact line of the torpedo you just missed ie de sink)

If it does i have a sneaky suspicion its a fraps issue/confliction with Wg. Fraps is a windows based application and if windows and wg client a fighting for (recording) priority then anything's possible. When did you install Fraps? I've also never seen the fps being affected when you speed up the video!!:cap_wander:

Always best to run vanilla on this game as 2nd party software has a tendency to cause issues. Has done many times in the past anyway. Hope you get to the bottom of this.

I dont run Fraps mate , i only downloaded Fraps AFTER the first incident .

I had no idea how to get the first replay clip online for others to see , and google led me to Fraps , so then i watched the replay and used Fraps to capture the part of the replay that i needed to upload to Youtube in the original post.

So no programs were running in the background other than whatever runs every other time i play WOWS.

And game is Vanilla , no mods or anything.

Invisible torpedoes? Are you, by chance, OP,  referring to invisible balancing?
