Capitanrex7839 Beta Tester 10 posts 2,933 battles Report post #1 Posted May 25, 2015 I am kinda curios and every name has its story so here is mine: I came up with my name when I was like 10-11 and at that time I was a huge Star Wars the clone wars cartoon fan and in that cartoon my fav character was Captain Rex so when I started playing online I had to choose a name so I thought that my name could me Captainrex but that did not work so I added 7839 (at the time I was not that good at English cuz I'm not from England so I spelled wrong). And I have stuck with that name ever since. That's the story of my name what is your?
SethAbercromby Beta Tester 203 posts 773 battles Report post #2 Posted May 25, 2015 (edited) The name Seth stuck with me from an early age. It was one of the suggested names in the Pokemon Colloseum game for GCN and I really liked the sound of the name. It has always been part of my usernames since then. Unfortunately, Seth by itself teds to not be avialable for some reason, so I ended up sticking numbers or very early on the super mature "Xx" to it to get it through registration. The Abercromby came a good deal later, when a friend and I got hooked on the movie "Reign of Fire" and I borrowed (read: blantatly stole) Quinn Abercromby's name as the last name of my alias. Being a proper name and all, my alias does have a fictional persona added to it, which I sometimes fall back on when posting things on the internet. MAD_3R_Marauder Beta Tester 296 posts 3,892 battles Report post #3 Posted May 25, 2015 Normally, I go by "Hawkeye" on forums, but that name was already taken. With my two all-time favorite non-PC games being BattleTech and Shadowrun, it was either MAD-3R Marauder or Dunkelzahn Since this is more of a wargame, I thought the BatteTech reference more fitting. Historynerd Beta Tester 4,249 posts 848 battles Report post #6 Posted May 25, 2015 Well, hardly a surprise here: since I was little, I was really into history, and when I was old enough I realized I really am a history nerd. So... might as well be honest. Anyway, wouldn't this discussion better be in the off topic section or something?

A sharp shooter with hallucinations... the author has earned a medal for this idea Edited May 27, 2015 by Phantombeast

TheDraconicLord Beta Tester 74 posts 89 battles Report post #9 Posted May 25, 2015 (edited) TheDraconicLord (or variants) is my standard username. I got the idea after reading the Dragonlance books probably 13 years ago. Love the Draconians and I've always been a huge fan of Dragons, so, TheDraconicLord was born and forever used in everything that requires a username. fugepilot Beta Tester 69 posts 2,028 battles Report post #11 Posted May 25, 2015 About 14 years ago I rebuilt a UVA Fugitive IV from the chassis up - it's a kit-car or sand rail, the sort of thing you saw bouncing wildly across the wastelands in Mad Max. Two years of hard graft later, and it was (and is) road-legal with me as it's pilot ... Hence, fugepilot.

Ast3lan Beta Tester 487 posts 3,850 battles Report post #13 Posted May 25, 2015 Astelan is the character in one of Warhammer 40K's books, he's the former chapter master of one of the companies for the 1st legion and is latter on presumed renegade due to a catastrophe that is befalllen the world of caliban. I kinda like him, as tons of other characters in the 40k universe and he's quite unknwon so i his borrowed his name.

[STGGC] valkarianism Beta Tester 173 posts 1,181 battles Report post #17 Posted May 25, 2015 One of my first games was Valkyrie Chronicles. From there, I read up on Norse Mythology and was generally taken by the idea of a goddess of war. As a follower, but not as the goddess herself, I took to the name Valkarian. It's stuck for over 10 years now.
Shepbur Alpha Tester 1,545 posts 469 battles Report post #18 Posted May 25, 2015 I used to play Runescape alot when i was younger... There was a NPC in the game called Lieutenant Schepbur and i used the name (mis-splet because i hadn't seen the NPC for like a year) for a couple of accounts on other games, and it's slowly become my default name for pretty much every game. The other names i normally go by if i don't want to use Shepbur is "Hayaxe"(used it for like... 7? years) or "Drake Fargoth" both of which were just made up. the latter as a dark elf for Morrowind back like 5-6 years ago... I think i've been using Shepbur as an account name for a good 7-8 years

Ishiro32 Alpha Tester 2,303 posts 1,149 battles Report post #20 Posted May 25, 2015 When I was playing ragnarok online back in the day, I inherited one of the accounts which user login name was Ishiro325. Earlier I was using nick "Near" because I watched Death Note and thought it would be funny to have invisible assassin with that name. All of my friends from that time call me Near, but since that nick is always taken I started using Ishiro32, I have droped 5 because I never felt like writing it. I know that random numbers at the end of the nick are really lame, but it just stuck with me. I also never felt a need to think up something different, all of my friends with whom I play and meet and talk call me by my old nick, because we are so used to it and as for other people, I don't really care what they call me. For all I care they can call me "that guy". Fun fact, my current password to this game is the same password that I received when I first started playing Tibia. Zgicc Alpha Tester 239 posts 8,822 battles Report post #23 Posted May 25, 2015 (edited) Friend's dog. 15 years ago. Was at friend's house on the internet (first time on the internet) and was making an account for something. Didn't know what to come up with as a nickname so my friend just typed in his username with a 2 added at the end (Zgicc2). Kept using that on pretty much every website I signed up with and eventually dropped the 2. The dog died recently actually. Its all kinds of weird. [__] Kais_S012 Beta Tester 742 posts 1,694 battles Report post #24 Posted May 25, 2015 Aegean Ghost is a Aviation Camouflage pattern used by the Greeks and several other Countries Airforce and Air Arm aircraft. and it does seem pretty fitting with the game about naval combat when you can slip though the archipelagos in a destroyer or cruiser unseen to get behind and strike the enemy
