very low cruisers presence in random battles

Did you notice in most of tier X games there are more BB and DD than cruisers? This situation create a balance issue, no radar to counterplay DDs, BB are forced to sit in the rear and if they try to push too early they just get sink by torps. Limit the number of BB and DD to maximum 4 BB and 3 DD per team could be a solution, what do you think?

Sure, more Cruisers would benefit the game overall.

But BBabies permanently complain how OP Cruisers are, so good luck with that :cap_fainting:And then you have CCs making YT vids, how bad BBs are these days since they cant kill every Cruiser with 1 shot. Meanwhile, every queue is 50 BBs with a few DDs and Cruisers :cap_old:

 

Its world of Battleships and Carriers - thats it.

limit the number of the BB and DD per battle forcing people to play more cruisers? and yes cruisers should get some love from wg. Seems only russian cruisers are viable to compete in random battles in the current state of the game

There are usually more BB than CA and more CA than DD.

And no, the CA numbers are not low.

That would only increase wait times.

People who want to play CA will do it.

And no, there are more non RU CA than RU CA in battle...

 Had a battle yesterday that was 5 BBs and 7 cruisers so... I think it's fairly varied atm though, except for one constant: the interminable BB plague :cap_old: idk, when I look at the queue numbers I wonder how no one at WG seems to think this is a problem.

Sorry but I have to point out these inconsistencies. 

 

More like from a balance pov, where CVs get extra goodies to keep popularity at above extinct levels.

I don't think it's very strange with fantasy caliber BB becoming ever more common now is it ? 

 

And then comes the skill rework lowering fire chance op top of that.....

What are those extras? They have lower base xp rewarded and I wouldn't call the hate directed at them as a bonus either. 

Or maybe you are referring to them being OP which doesn't matter in 90% of the cases as Bear_Necessities pointed out very nicely with his Screenshots. 

 

It's mostly World of BBs. Just look at ranked queue q_q

Yup, exactly. Overmatching BBs everywhere you look. And 5 of them in most battles because, well, just look at the queue numbers. I've said it before and I will say it again: those BBs are far more of an obstacle to having fun in a cruiser, than HE spam (from cruisers, anyway) is to having fun in a BB.

 

The skills rework would seem like a brilliant opportunity to address the BB overpopulation, but so far the devs don't seem to be taking it :Smile_sceptic:

Why play cruisers and get overmatched by every BB in the game because all of them have 457 for some reason when i can play my BBs as HE spamming cruisers.

Seems all those BB's skipped both Vigilance and RPF. Additionally Frenchies with Viglance have a decent chance to boost themselves past most of a torp wall.

because aim assist sigma and shell velosities make playing cruisers painful.

 

you take full salvos of citedels from all angles due to overmatch, sigma makes the shells fired cluster abnormally, and shell velosities make manoeuvre avoidance impossible.

 

limiting ship classes isnt the answer. fixing broken game mechanics is.

dropping shell velosities by 30% would let cruisers manouver out of the way of long range fire.

removing sigma aim assist would reduce the multi-citedel hits that kill options for movement.

fixing overmatch so cruisers could take advantage of their narrower hull forms would allow for them to advance and retreat.

 

 

 

as it is, the game is entirely aimed at stealth and overmatch mechanics, dd's out-stealth cruisers, bb out pen cruisers.

 

and this is before we get to the new skill trees that will remove cruisers ability to reduce fires
