Wargaming should really take notice, alteast when they hire new people to balance out the ships, since this is utterly redicules. 

 

SS is from the KOTS finale. 

 

Something is very wrong when half the game is the same ship.

Ironically the counters to the Petro spam are 2 things the playerbase at large hates the most, CVs and HE spam.

And them subways as well if they don't get any sub warfare gear. At leas they have a thunderer, should take another one or maybe a conqueror for better HE Spam.

 

Or the Queen Chonk of thighs herself Vermont if she hides next to and island then bodys them as they come around the corner.

kots isn't "the game", it's a theorycrafted, limited gameplay type with teams of high skilled players. that this will get reduced to a meta where people cannot afford to go rogue with setups is what's GUARANTEED to happen.

 

ie, it's at best an indication that some ship have some particular strength that is favoured in that meta, not that this says the ship is ungodlyomgopomgsoopomg.

 

Especially with one mayor component of randoms, CVs entirely missing, allowing for way more stacking of specific ships as they lack their biggest counter.

Strange these petros dont seem to do much when a des moines or salem approaches them close by close or when an hindenburg starts looking at them....or when that Italian BB will arrive they will be dead meat just like any other old world cruiser.

Yes but again with the Italians, same old WG problem, they introduce new crap to counter old crap which has all kinds of unintended side effects. Think about Italian BBs shooting DDs with SAP.

Not all HE is stopped by 50mm plating. 

Even if the HE is question can't penetrate 50mm plating(eg Des Moines, Salem, Nevsky) it's only a matter of time. 

 

Bow in Petros will not last long in such a situation and will have to go dark, or run, or be forced to kite and so give up the map. If they can't or don't do either of that they're dead, pretty quick. Like any other ship.

Yeah, lets nerf ship X because its overrepresented in a competitive format.

After that you get ship Y to replace them, because that something will be stronger than the rest. So nerf ship Y

then Ship Z is best... nerf Ship Z

until you have nerfed everything else, and ship X is best again, then rinse repeat :cap_book:

This.. and so many other changes due to endless forum whining and complaints, with entirely predictable consequences, just shows how useless wg is at actually seeing where issues lie.

Wargaming Finally added new letters to our not anymore new 24 letter alphabet! Also, they nerfed kremlin by removing a whoooooooping percentual of 3,43% hp points to kremlin's rudder!

The Meta is set by players, so theres no "this is the meta, this is what we must do" at the higher tiers. I mean, it was very boring to watch most of these games, basicly the same ships almost every game, other than a Yammy there and a Shima there. From over 40 ships, we maybe saw 10 different ships?

Its quite clear they need to balance some ships.

 

Its also quite clear that KOTS should look into having a maximum pr ship, since watching 5 Petros on 1 team is pretty bring. Try and break the meta, instead of adhering to it.

So because some ships are over-/ underrepresented in one specific gamemode, certain ships need to be buffed / nerfed, regardless of how it would turn out for random battles, which is the main gamemode of wows :cap_hmm:

The  meta is demanded by the game rules, the ships available, the AMOUNT of ships on each team (this is really rather important, as with more ships it's far harder to just bowtank your way through games, and it's a lot easier to fit ships with different capabilities into teams).

 

So no, it's not "clear" at all, unless your ONLY concern is the balance in a tournament that only a tiny tiny part of the playerbase even cares about, far less partakes in. Trying to change a game to suit a small part.. breaks games instead of fixing them.
