Was just reading dev blog I see a new few nerf to US BB line are in progress.

So will you play them when they come out? I am big fan of US ships, but this new line is really looking like a whole Colorado thing again. I could make myself to play one colorado class ship, but all the way to tier 10??

So slow, HE pinata, Torpedo pinata, CV pinata, dont know how you will actually enjoy this line? For a few good salvos you might achieve on some poor guy who didnt angle himself?

On one side I am so excited with new US ships, on the other hand when I see those stats, that speed, it makes me sick.

What do you think, will they be any worth to play and have fun?

VIII KANSAS

  • AP shells' parameters were changed:
    • Maximum damage reduced from 12,400 to 11,800.
    • Ballistics were changed: now AP shells will lose speed a bit faster and their flight trajectory became slightly more arcing.

 IX MINNESOTA

  • AP shells' parameters were changed:
    • Maximum damage reduced from 13,500 to 12,800
    • Ballistics were changed: now AP shells will lose speed a bit faster and their flight trajectory became slightly more arcing.

Frankly, not really. Might play them from time to time at most, but ships this slow and this slow reloading just bore me to tears.

Well to be fair, apart from the atrocious speed, Kansas basically has the same firepower as a Montana in tier 8 soooooo....maybe it was justified? Can't say the same bout Minnesota tho.

If they were real ships, then I could imagine that the collector in me at least wanted them as port queens. But they are fictional for a reason - no navy with a clear mind would think about continuing building slow superdreadnoughts when everybody and their mother replaced them with fast battleships.

Assuming they're as dreadful (from my perspective - I like fast, nimble ships) as they seem to be, I'll play any that fall in my lap in early access (albeit only in Coop, for missions/snowflakes), but I don't intend making one iota of extra effort to get/play any of them.

I'm far more interested in the Italians, when they eventually show up.

I am always excited about new additions.

If it is not understood how they roll one should put effort into understanding how WG thought they should roll.......or watch an actual quality streamer/reviewer that does understand it.

No the screamer drama lama's are not among them....in fact if they brand it trash, it is reasons to really look into them. WG is not interested in adding trash. They are interested in filling/creating roles in the battle's flow. Unique operating classes are like keys fitting a lock. That is why the keys of screamer drama lama's do not fit.....they stick it in the wrong lock ( tactics/role )

Maybe out of sheer boredom.

I honestly think its a better idea to fxp the t10 so i have it just in case and actually play ships i like and have fun in, for that 8-900k fxp wasted.

Nah I'll sit this one out. My hands are quite full w/ grinding low tiers for T9 epochs plus I just brought myself a nice Gold Bug camo and used my stacked up FXP to get Fletcher and will continue my grind to Gearing. I also picked up my RU BB line grind (thanks to the free Commander Rumblr drop -- seriously though the voiceover is hilarious) which I had left off at Vlad last year.

As for US line split, I'd rather play my Monty than suffer through another Colorado/NewMex-esqe grind for Vermont which I expect will end up being a bigger bait for spammers than GK.

I will check them out. Maybe I'll like them like them, like I found out that German CVs are the ones I most enjoy.

Biddies and Bums that would make taihou mad with envy, dunno who is the thigh queen in that game but they would be replaced anyways. :fish_happy:

Until GKF H42-H44 and A-150 all arrive of course. :cap_haloween:

Probs have their solar systems when they arrive at the commanders base. Sure porridge tank would love em along with FDR. :fish_happy::Smile_trollface:

Well they fitted with the US Navys thinking in the 20s, slow but well armed and with staying power. I see this line of papers as a set up for a third US BB line with real ships later.

The T8 was started, as you can see the 6 ships were from 11-38% complete.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Dakota-class_battleship_(1920)

I will play them for collecting purposes slow but steady, maybe in coop a lot, will not pursue high end captains especially as the cost of this will rise 40-50%.

I dislike powerful guns when they are too many for the tier so they got pitiful sigma and slow reload, as it is necessary to balance their firepower in a boring but necessary way to fit them in. The 38s reload on Ita T10 on 16 main guns is the same crap. I would have preferred a 12-38 with faster reload and better sigma at T10.

Nevertheless I do want ships designed with armour over speed vs ships that sacrificed armour to get speed balanced according to this and the USN wanted their ships as these during their design period.

Nope.

On top of that, I find myself in the position, where I struggle to get myself grinding any other silver BB line (besides Kremlin for obvious reasons). Once you have Thunderer and Bourgogne in port, you ask yourself: Why would I play [put silver TX BB name here] ?

Probably not.

I really hated my time playing Colorado because the speed was just absolutely crippling, and against DD's especially you felt like a total sitting duck.

Vermont is just too slow and too chunky to me, and i know she has an extremely powerful broadside, but i dont think all the frustrations associated in playing her could make up for the every few games moment the RNG dice roll decides to bless you with a dev strike. I can see how some people find that fun but, not for me.

Edit - Florida looks interesting though, I may pick her up.

Then imagine thighs as Monarch and Duke of York but combined with Taihou anti torpedo protection :Smile_trollface:

About line. Maybe, but it's same maybe as can I get all TX. Maybe. If I really would have nothing other to do.

Interesting did it's true gossip that Oklahoma could be event reward like Genova, London or Mikoyan?
