If you read a text, do you always only read 2/3 of it ? He wouldnt be playing alone. And do you suffer from such intense tunnelvision that you didnt think of Coop for the first games ? Too bad even this game has its share of vey close-minded players.

Buying a premium to make credits and then taking it to coop where the credit rewards are much lower seems like waste of money to me, but maybe that's just me... anyway, I stand by my original advice in this thread.

I had read your note - and I understood what you wanted to say,  except the coop thingy ofc - for a  reason  - most  of  the  pllayers go in random - much earlier as they are ready..Captain rework is comiing up and therefore the question - is it the igaame still fun - or not. If not  = wasted money.

Good day to you commanders,

I have 466 battles played and after this 200%, I had run out of credits :(

At the moment I want to get all the ships to T5 to start harvesting those nice daily missions, making only the first two each day.

Can you all recommend me a premium money maker ship except Missouri? Also, I have 88k coal 0 steel, and 350 doubloons.

Regards and thank you for your advice.

Keep chipping away at it you can grind credits without a prem ship but it is a bit slower.

As for ships best thing I can say is prob stick to lower tiers to give you a better chance with match performance. As for ships I really love the Massachusetts and Tirpitz which are both tier 8 BBs but these might be a bit too high tier wise and may make it difficult for you to perform with so few battles under your belt. I am still super new and things get tougher from tier 7 and up I personally found but your experience may be different.

Also, one thing to be aware of as a new player if you do decide to buy a ship you get coupons every 6 months one of which is for a paid ship so make sure to use that if you do decide to get a ship. I believe it gives you 20% off if I remember correctly.

As for credits, another thing you might not be aware of as a new player is once you have inventory unlocked make sure to go check it out. As you have upgraded your ships the base components/parts of your ships will end up in your inventory. Make sure to go sell these it will get you loads of credits back which will help you out. The only reason I found out about this was because of watching Chaosmachine's stream where he showed it but it has been so useful to sell the old ship parts to recoup credits.

But yea, all in all, don't feel the pressure to rush to tier 10 or feel like you have to buy a prem ship and try and avoid wasting signals and cammos on low tier matches or bot games.

Because some of you are harping on about how he isnt allowed to buy a high tier bc he wouldnt know to play it. And I say the FIRST battles on Coop, one or two to get a feel for a ship, a exercise that would cost all of 5 minutes for one battle.  There are better solutions than just bluntly gatekeep a new player.

As for the captain rework, how many of you will stop playing just because of it ? How many? I thought so. The captain rework can'hardly be that disastrous that it alone will make him stop playing, and I've seen no signs so far of the rework goning all  the wrong way.

None, I imagine; the rework is still very relevant to premium choices at the moment though - as things stand, at least some premiums will probably be less viable after the changes (in the same way that some may well be better).

Unless there have been some changes that I've missed, I would avoid any cruisers which currently work best with - essentially - a BB captain in them, at least until everything is finalised and we can see what the real impacts are, both positive and negative.

Are you seriously suggesting that a player with (at time of writing) fewer than 100 battles above T5 will be able to cope with T8+ randoms after one or two battles in a new premium in Coop 'to get a feel for' [it]?! I'm afraid that's extremely poor advice - this isn't about gate-keeping, it's about having fun with your new purchase, and getting sunk after a couple of minutes because you're out of your depth is not fun (for most people, anyway).

A far more sensible approach is to buy premiums that roughly track where one is comfortable with equivalent silver ships. I'm sure there are prodigies out there who can hop straight into a T10 premium(ish) and do magnificently, but I'd bet my left nut that they're pretty rare (and offer advice on the basis of balance of probability). That's not to say you shouldn't buy whatever you like and mess around in Coop with it (I have more than ten times as many Coop games in MO as I do Randoms, for example), but we've been talking - at least in part - about maximising earnings, and that requires Randoms (and other PvP).

there is one thing about selling those, if you plan reset line in future, you need buy those again, otherwise yes selling is good if you need credit

Buy a high tier, it will help get more xp, free xp, and youll need it for many campaigns. Dont listen to gatekeepers and elitists who decide what you can and cant do.  The high tier premium ship you like most wont necessarly stay in the shop for long.

Hello,

for someone who has practically no experience with high tier, this suggestion is absolutely counterproductive !!
He already has problems with the economy at the lower levels.

In the higher levels he has to achieve real success if he doesn't want to pay extra on every game.

Many have already experienced this!

Kind regards

Nobody is saying anything about being allowed to do anything, obviously he’s allowed to buy whatever he wants. All we can say based on experience so far is that a new player jumping straight into high tier via a premium ship without having learned up a line practically never leads to a good experience for anyone but the red team that encounters him in his new premium.

And if you think playing a few coop games to “get a feel for the ship” will fix this I think I’m starting to understand where the bitter, angry tone of practically everything you post comes from. Among other things.

As for the economy, he just needs some advice how to improve his income. As for the tier 8 ship, maybe I'm a little too optimistic, contrary to what Newman alleges.

as many said, invest in premium account -> it is usual that at new year, you can buy premium account for 1 year at half the price -> save money for that now. premium account gives you much more money, exp and fxp. You will progress much faster and with much better economy.
regarding premium ships, you can buy for coal marblehead, it is Omaha with B hull and no AA, so  you will learn how to dodge. And it has perfect area denial torpedoes. (very slow, by the time they reach they max range, you can launch new ones) and many, many guns or Texas which is quite cheap. CVs still avoid to attack this ship.

Do not buy high tier premium ships until you have high point captains (at least 10, better 15), otherwise you will be dissapointed with those ships.

Best investment for you: premium account.
