Captains do not gain XP beyond the 19th point. The XP become Elite captains XP.

WG will probably not give us 21 point captains for free.

I'm sure WG tracks it. They tracked account XP even though you could only get to a certain level. Also it's not really free if you've grinded (ground?) that xp.

On the WOWS  .com forum, Little Mouse in her review of the upcoming update which changes skills. Said she got it wrong and you do carry on earning XP on Elite Commanders after 21 points. So would have thought that'll mean if you have a 19pt captain that has enough extra free commander XP earned on it for 21pts. Then I would have thought you can use it to update the captain to 21pts right away.

 

Dunno, that's what I read said. Why doesn't one of the staff here confirm it one way or the other instead of keeping people guessing?

You already got that XP added to your Elite Captains XP....

What is important is the XP required for levels, if the XP required for lv21 is the same as currently required for lv19 then lv19 captains became lv21.

If its linear then it just increases the gap of veteran players and new players, this is a tell sign of a dying game as the development mind is no longer on newer players but on the existing playerbase, its also a sure way to kill the game when they get into that mindset because games always lose players over time.

according to latest statements from WOWs player interaction team St. Petersburg in stream with Crysantos "your 19pts commander wont be transferred on 21pts so you need to grind it out" and furthermore regarding how much xp it will cost they hesitantly stated that "it will be in the same line of progression as it is now"
