  1. 1. All things considered, which ship would YOU exchange coal for?

Georgia has a higher skill ceiling and rewards good aim and positioning.

It has a weak-ish armor scheme tho and brawling is a no-no.

Pommern is a fun ship that requires the knowledge when to push to bring the secondaries to work, and can easily be wrecked by focus fire once it's start doing what it's designed to do: brawling.

Yup, as the others said, Georgia or Thunderer gonna go probably first, Pommern going stay in the Armory for a while since she's relatively new compared to the other two. Thats why i aiming for Thunderer now, ( 30k coal needed with coupon), then Pommern ( already have the Georgia).

Georgia. She's much more versatile than Pommern. I have her since June 2019 (got her a couple of weeks after she was released) and i can say she's worth all the coal.

@CptBarney I agree; since they announced the new ships, i have the feeling that Hizen will replace Georgia in the armoury. I think Georgia is going to stay until December more or less.

Hizen isn't great currently, tho she still has one  patch of testing to go through (she's going to get added to the CCs accounts with te releace of 0.9.9) so she can still change; it can go both ways, but let's be optimistic.

I forgot about hizen, also got miss georgia not long after her release as well still my fav ship.

I was expecting hizen to be great so once hes got georgia and doesn't have thunderer go for her next or straight on to miss pommern.

I don't have either of them but i'll get soon Georgia. I don't need T9 BB with bad guns.

I was one of those saying that the Pommern's dispersion would be terrible and I would never have bought it.

I won the Pommern in a crate and although the guns are not that accurate, they really are not bad at all.

12 shells in the air tends to mean, even with this sigma, that something goes where you aimed it.

Lack of overmatch is annoying  but the alpha is very nice for devstriking  broadside cruisers.

If a Des moines goes bow in simply target your secondaries on him and shoot at something else until he melts!

I'm still hoping they make Hizen good in some way.

I'd love it if Wargaming buffed the Kii's secondaries to 7.5km and gave it Amagi  turtleback.

They could do Hizen in the same way and end up with IJN brawlers....

As i said, she still has a patch to go through, so we'll see.

Also, a fun fact, Georgia horizontal dispersion with the -11% module is just 3m longer than a Colorado

Yes but one ship have 380 mm of dogshit guns, other have 457 mm with greater sigma and better secondaries as well :)

Pommern is basically triple turret Tirpitz. But everyone already knew that.

In case you wanna brawl against DM you would be efficient with Georgia guns. Primary and secondary.

I would never willingly take a Japanese BB into a brawl, Unless its a very special one that has hydro and good AA.

I’m not arguing that the battleship with I believe the second worst dispersion in the game has better guns than the ship with the forth best.

I am saying that having 12 guns, to some extent, makes up for the poor accuracy.

Title says it all.

They both cost the same. I can't choose between them.

Which would YOU buy? And why?

We had similar thread very recently:

I will go for "Georgia" myself (will buy her at full price in about 30+ days if all things remain as they are now - currently at 150.000 Coal)... the "Pommern" is next...

P.S.

I do have other "Coal" ships... my last 2 purchases were "Thunderer" and "Salem" (both "older" ships)... :Smile_hiding:

Let me put it this way; Georgia > all ranges primary guns. Pommern > effective close range only.

That was lucky shot.

Between this two ships, Georgia is the sniper.

No point of what ship leaves armory first.

Salem just stay from the beginning

I bought Salem because that silly reason and i have regretted it for so long.

Last time i've bought Pommern instead of Thunderer and i've enjoyed it. I'm bored of long range BB's i would rather go fishing than playing from 20Km while sailing on circles.

And in fact that gameplay alongside CVs  spotting is the fun police in this game.

Georgia is worth the coal if you need a strong T9 BB with good economy, pommern is worth the coal if you want a fun T9 BB with good economy. One fits the boring max range 457 overmatch sniping meta, the other is fun.
