KOTS mission

Hi, to obtain the 2 missions for KOTS, one is obtained entering the code YOUCANTWINALLTHETIME, but the other one is obtained clicking on the web, this one for NA server https://worldofwarships.com/en/news/general-news/kots-11-bump/ , whre is the equivalent page for the EU server? It's already sunday and I don't see it on the EU web.

 

Anyone knows?

Only the finals will drop the containers, or watching the streaming from other stages as well?

Only watching during finals weekend - on Saturday AND Sunday - will get you the final two containers (assuming you have completed the KOTS missions and grabbed the gift KOTS container beforehand). That is the way I have understood things.

In total you can earn 8 KOTS containers this month.

 

One from the 15 daily random containers in the Armory. Atleast start the game and unlock your daily free item and you have your guaranteed KOTS drop.

Three containers from a series of missions that you have to unlock by clicking on the participate button on the newsitem mentioned earlier in this topic.

Two containers unlocked by the code unlocking another series of missions ( these missions require pvp unlike the previous missions)

Two containers you receive by watching the KOTS finals if your Twitch account is linked tot your WG account.

 

Each KOTS containers contains one element for your KOTS collection. You need 16 to complete it. Duplicates can be exchanged 1for 1. This is the second time this event is live. In theory you can complete the collection if you received the maximum of 8 crates during the first series and get the maximum 8 containers this round. If not, you need another KOTS event.

 

Final reward is a random T7 premium.

I started late with this collection so I wanna know if I'll be short on these containers with time.

For the participate mission 14 days. It’s a set of 3 missions with 2 giving containers, one a different award and the final reward being the 3rd container.

Its tier 8-  10 only. First is 22 fires, one x kills, the other is also not that demanding. Coop makes it easy.

 

You are not supposed to get 16 containers in one event. You need atleast 2 KOTS moments, but 3 or more are reasonable. I only got 6 out of 8 last time. Probably will get 6 this time. Will have to wait 1/2 year for next KOTS event to complete it.

That was im asking about. if there is some time window for how long you can obtain those 16 containers before this event ends.

So if we dont complete this collection now we have to wait about 6 months for next event to get more items. And if then still lack of items fot completion than another 6 months and so on?

Yes, depending on your progress it will atleast take 2 KOTS events if you max out.  Since it’s only our second only standard is that 1 container is a daily gift, 2 are Twitch and the remaining 5 are missions. Last time it was tier 10 only. Now it’s down to tier 8- 10. So many did not get the full 8 ( don’t have twitch, no high tier). It could take very long if you only get a few. But WG said it wil continue, so you can take x times to complete it. But 3, max 4 rounds should do it. But you can take your time...Until the game is cancelled...

Well WG reacted before to questions from players with these concerns...Baseline was like, if you don’t get the required total of 16 items this round, you will get it the next KOTS or the one after.. From the 2 current rounds it has been 8 containers each. Five by missions, 2 by twitch and one as a daily reward.

 

In the end receiving a T7 premium is very nice, but it’s a random. Yes you can narrow the odds by already having some other T7’s ( like I always advice to buy the Blysk for coal before) it can be the ship you don’t want. We got a random T6 container last year for less work in a much shorter time lapse.

 

You can, in theory get the free T7 by only getting the one container by opening daily rewards. Or 2 more for having Twitch online during the relevant weekends without any grinding work .But then it will take you more then 2 years...It’s a drawn out event for semi-loyal players..

So, PTS seasons cancelled, KoTS boxes cancelled (both may come back at an unknown date). What is next, ranked rewards? 
 

Do we know anything else that have got cancelled or about to be cancelled?

I would be extremely p*see if WG did this. Since I missed 2 crates the first season I can’t get the required 16 this event. One of the reasons I slacked and missed those crates is that I trusted WG in saying that there was no urgency. Be left with no T7 and an unfinished collection would ruffle my feathers..
 

So a third season would be the minimum that I expect from WG. In lieu of that, I would then expect WG to make these crates available for coal at a price of 5k a piece. Why 5k? Well a new player can decide to buy them all for a total of 80 k coal. More expensive then the current coal T7 but since that is a dd the small premium is compensation for the chance you get a more expensive ship plus a 10 point captain. Still a gamble since you van get a ship you don’t prefer...but that’s what it is now too.

 

Worst case I would even , extreme upset, accept if WG tunes down the reward. Like if you complete the collection after Season 2 ends the reward is downscale to a random T6..etc..Settling at T5 afterwards..  would be extreme petty from WG side and my faith broken a bit more...
