Hello, I have a question about the premium ship "Boise" and IFHE. I would like to know if with the skill HE can penetrate 32mm armor or not.

Sorry I don't really understand where I am supposed to be looking on the link you provided. I don't really understand the penetration calculation, so if someone could explain that a little I would appreciate it.

Oh in that case my bad, I misunderstood and I apologize, the comment seemed a bit condescending. Thank you for the article.

One more thing I don't understand is, if HE penetration is supposed to be divided by 6, and 152/6 = 25.33, and .25 of 25.33 is 6.33, and 25.33+6.33 is 31.66, shouldn't the penetration round up to 32mm? Or am I misunderstanding something?

With the IFHE rework (can't remember which patch exactly it was) they made it more complicated. 152 mm guns up to tier 7 have 1/6 penetration as before, but IFHE only gives 25% instead of 30% bonus penetration. From tier 8 up, the rule is 1/5. Also, instead of rounding down, now penetration values are rounded up. Basically, it means that tier 6 and 7 CLs ships are screwed when uptiered.

Apparently the number is being rounded down when using IFHE.

This might have been mentioned in the patch-notes somewhere but I'm too lazy to go dig for it. Otherwise your math is spot-on.

OP - this link might be of interest too: https://forum.worldofwarships.com/topic/213359-ifhe-all-night-long/

It was LWM's overview of which things work effectively with IFHE after the rework; it's from back in March, so this may have been superseded here and there.

Whether 31.66 is rounded down or not, its still not enough to threaten 32mm plating. Rounding only occurs when WG assigned base HE pen, based on shell caliber (150/4=37.5->38 on Ger CL, 203/6=33.83->34 on 203mm CA, 220/6=36.66->37 on RU 220mm

Since the IFHE-rework the HE-pens is the actual HE-pen, not the shatter threshold (i.e. you only need to get 32mm from the calculation to pen 32mm, not 33mm as before).

So IF the rounding occurred as before 31.66 would be rounded to 32mm and it would pen 32mm. Since the rounding was apparently changed as you noted this is equivalent to rounding the number down.

(So in this case we either have 2 steps of rounding down or one step at the end, doesn't change the result.)

this is a normal answer) be quiet

Gina shook her head no.

"Then I'm also guessing that she didn't tell you that you can also put in for travel expenses," Kellie said, having no doubt as to the answer. "A train token might only be seventy-five cents, but it's still an extra four fifty in your pocket at the end of the week."

Kellie knew well the game the office manager was playing because she'd done it before. She deliberately didn't tell new employees that they would be reimbursed for lunch and travel, knowing full well that, even if they found out about it later, few would've wanted to get on her bad side and put in for it. That gave her more petty cash to dole out to her favorites, those supplicants willing to kiss her [edited]and tell her how great she was.

Thankfully, executive secretaries didn't fall within Joan's province so Kellie was free to tell the stuck-up [edited] to go [edited]herself, which she had done on more than one occasion. This time, however, she decided to forego herself the pleasure lest it come back to hurt Gina. Instead, she suggested to Gina that she again let her pay for lunch and that she'd not only put in for reimbursements for the meals, she'd add on Gina's travel costs to her own, letting the younger girl get back what she had spent.

"In fact, why don't I just give it to you now to save time?" Kellie said, reaching into her purse and taking out a five-dollar bill. "I'll just round it up when I put in the paperwork," she added before Gina could start to look in her own purse for change.

Kellie couldn't remember the last time she'd actually put in for petty cash, but Gina didn't need to know that. Also, in her purse was a company credit card, with which she could charge pretty much anything up to five hundred dollars before anyone would have the nerve to inquire about it. She'd never abused it, taking that fact as a sign of the trust Mr. Bernstein had in her.
