PSA: Clans trading steel in CvC 9

Well, the unfairly acquired resources/ships will now be used against you and other normal clans.

Let me get this straight. Maybe I'm missing something here.

 

Users from some clan got caught in severe violation of rules. Instead of banning user accounts WG resorted to disbanding the clan? What is stopping those users from forming another clan and repeating the same thing?

Nothing. Proven on SEA where a clan got caught for the 2nd time.

In future we may take action against the accounts themselves, but in this case they lost access to their clan, achievements, rankings, history and name, as well as all the resources accumulated in the season.

 

If they feel like going through this process again, we will of course take action again.

In the german forum I asked why such clans are build on the eu-server and playing cw on other server. I didn't expect that and maybe not all clans do that, but that could be the answer. Earning money with farming steel and accountselling. 

 

I don't think that wg will ban every player who let a friend try a ship (or the half playerbase had to be banned 😜), even if that is against their rules but there is a big difference between let a friend try a ship and build a reroll-clan, earn money with farming and accountselling. 

 

Ban the accounts is not the right way (at the moment) because most of them are rerolls with only a few battles. Losing the clan and the steel is better. That hits also the guys who paid for that because now they paid for nothing.

Dear YabbaCoe,

 

Perfect action on the side of Wargaming to punish those who cheat as such. However, I have just 1 remark about the clans who played against the disbanned clan. You wrote that the outcome of their battle will have not any affect on them, but what if they lost by this way of cheating? They were denied a honest chance of obtaining steel or promotion to another division/league for that matter. Of course they had the chance of winning their battle, but still......

 

To my opinion the gains (steel/signals/doubloons/etc.) should be distributed to the clans who played against them and lost, to compensate them for dishonest gameplay.

 

To the possible downvoters on my post: my clan has only played the mentioned season CB's opening battle to acquire the CB missions to get an idea what CB's offer on the EU server. After that we stopped.

For clarification: NO PLAYER WAS BANNED just THE CLAN GOT DELETED to deny the steel earned in clanwars by accountsharing.

 

So yeah, they can do it again tomorrow. 

To me it looks like WG is saving what they have now (Dont ban any players cause playerbase is decreasing) instead of FINALLY doing anything good for this game in the last years. 

 

All accounts that were shared should be banned (even if there are only a few games) and if other accounts match for having played the shared accounts, those have to banned as well.

 

And finally TOS should be updated: No VPN.

or

Simply block known VPNs.

 

 

THIS isnt even a clap on the fingers, its only a raised index-finger while saying "dont do it again".....yeah try this on your kids and count your steps until they do it again...you wont need 2 hands.
