These side effects of Server Migration are probably the worst thing that happened to this game in recent time. On behalf of (I hope) the entire community, many thanks for finally taking action on the matter. They'll presumably outright buy another semi-inactive clan and restart everything in a week-time, just like the SEA clan you disbanded not too long ago for the same reasons, but it's a good sign nonetheless.

Good job.

After the 9th season of Clan Battles, we performed a clan check.

Is this done across the board, or is there need for reports by players?

We do this across the board, but if you know of any specific violations please do feel free to message us, as it will help us look in the right direction.

All such reports will of course be treated confidentially.

@MrConway since this screenshot is going around, can you please make an official statement on that?

Our clan had nothing to do with said violations!

Our apologies for this, I can confirm that [SN3K] does not have any sanctions applied to them, they were initially accidentally included based on a single former clan member's actions.

Such actions violate paragraphs 5.2.1, 5.2.2, 5.2.3. EULA (link)

Can't find such a section.
Because I live in Australia?

4.16 refer to account leveling and selling or any other commercial activity;

12.1. The direct sale of places/slots in clans for obtaining game items, achievements or any other type of profit is prohibited. This includes any type of joining or membership fees which are not established within the mechanics of the game.

Do you mean VOR trade steel during clan battle seasons?

I corrected the link to the EULA.

If you want to know specifics about why your clan was sanctioned, please contact me via PM.

The title says it.

And if I understand the OP correctly, it states that there is evidence that people gave their accounts to [VOR] players who then earned rewards for them. If that included adding these accounts to the Clan, it's clear why it is being disbanded, as the leadership must have been involved.

Except saying: ‘massively and repeatedly transferred access to their accounts’, the announcement did not mention anything about steel trading.

This is why it confuses me.

Or maybe there is no evidence for steel trading.

I think they are not talking about steel trading, they disband VOR because account sharing

Yeah the OP is strangely worded and hard to understand.

The only explanation I can come up with is that the VOR players who transferred access to their accounts only got into the clan by trading "goods" (presumably money) in the return for Steel. The latter would then be earned by "real" VOR players with access to said accounts.

Well, as a member of the clan, I can check the resource transfer history of the clan.

Can't really find such a thing on the resource transfer history.

Still waiting for the staff reply via PM.

As I said, it reads to me that it was not transferred from the treasury and instead earned by playing.

1.Give money.

2.Get into Clan.

3.People from said Clan play your account and earn the Steel.

Kinda surprised that "the other asian clan" (dont wanna get accused of name and shame)  isn't affected by this. From my understanding this isn't about "steel trading" but account sharing which was already proven for them on the last KotS. Therefore i kinda doubt that they didn't do something similar while playing CB here.

Ok, I get what u are talking about, which makes sense. That's the thing I cannot tell if its true or not.

Now I am wondering if using VPN to gain a better connection to EU server is an issue.

Playing EU server with no VPN is a pain in the ***, cos I live in South Australia.

Just out of interest - how does a VPN help with that?

Aren't you just putting an additional server in the way?

That was for avoiding lag in the game.

Without VPN I got frequent 'red lights' on the upper left.

But how would a VPN avoid the lag?

It doesn't create less distance or a more direct connection from you to the game server, does it? I would think that it could only make it slower, but maybe there's something I'm missing here?

You are actually missing something here:
VPNs can reduce lag since the reroute your traffic through a different network. Said routing might be faster than your initial routing from your typical internet provider. So there are scenarios where a VPN might increase your ping time.

Not commenting on anything else,  but this is true.

I play from Africa and for some reason (in fact, following ping tracer you can see where, but it is not important...) a delay happened and number of dropped packets starts increasing. Connect via VPN, it follows another link and you have a good connection.

Ping increases a bit, but it is negligible.

Also sometimes, loading stops on "waiting for authorisation" - connect via VPN and voila, the problem is gone.

Yeah maybe.

Or maybe people use it to hide account sharing.

I guess WG decided to believe the latter when looking at the whole picture.

The remaining bit of uncertainty could be the reason why the players involved are just getting a clap on the hand and not losing their accounts...

But that's all speculation.
