I always put some cash away for my gaming, WG's hardly had any this year due to imo shabby premium ships and I don't gamble on Containers so I thought I'll just get these two with what I've saved.. the game won't even let me do that,WG refusing to take money, Is it ing Armageddon

So I refrained from commenting yesterday waiting for the unveiling of this much touted summer sale. Of course prepared whole shop screenshot to compare.

 

It's not a sale. It's an extortion. I have KA from times when it was normally available in the shop for pennies. Don't care about DD. Atlanta is freely available for ohh 30.59 Euro amazingly the same.

 

Look I work in sales for decades now so I kind of know what are principles of many different kinds of sales. This imaginary sale is illustrated perfectly by little real-life meme below. Another first from WG in e-commerce era, sale with no sale. No discounts of any kind, buying temporary currency to get nothing in return. Wow... working really hard to outdo Puerto Rico debacle. EA and Apple have some things to learn still...

Well, Crysantos didn't tell, that you can do all the missions in coop. He only said, that requirements should be easy to meet. Which is true, if you try different game modes.

Well, if you calculate the price for tier VIII container for example and how many tokens you need to buy and the prize for those tokens. You basically can have tier VIII premium ship for much cheaper, then in Premium Shop. And still you would have leftover tokens for maybe Santa container, or Black Friday container...

At the end of the day there are 15 tokens up for grabs it's not worth getting worked up for, you cannot get much with them. In no dictionary that I can read is this a sale. It's ships that are no longer freely available being offered for a price, Choose to pay the price or don't in he end that is what it's about, I truly wonder if Sale actualy has the same meaning in Easter Europe to what it does in he UK, Ireland,France etc because for Uk law states that for it to be a sale the goods must be on offer at a higher price for a set period and then offered at a lower price, and I think that is what annoys players this doesn't it into the Sale perameters they are used to at all, Personally I don't give a damn

@YabbaCoeseems the purchase of 50 / 10 tokens directly is not possible in Steam? Can you confirm that this is as planned?

Sorry that is low the implication is they could all be done in co-op and he even took the thanks for them being done in co-op. To be honest I am surprised I am still shocked by all this! After all you still list co-op as a mode you can get 12 achievements in!

Not much of a bargain if you get a random unplayable lemon, or it's of a class you don't use, etc.

 

Best (random) result would be for a duplicate of one you have, for full value dubloooons, so you can pick your own.

 

If you look really really hard, and are really really lucky, you might get a discount. Awesome.

as you can see, the same requirements were set for all missions. Even though you can't finish the achievement mission in coop, still we can have all the game modes listed there. While designing the missions, it is easier just to have every mode, or every nation listed there, while there are not limits. With this for example task for number of fires dealt we would have to exclude italian cruisers one by one from the requirements, but still keep there Ducas etc.

Well, it is up to you, for what you would spend those tokens. Also as I mentioned earlier, if you calculate the cost for tokens, you need for premium ship container, it will still be cheaper then direct purchase of the ship + you still would have some tokens left for something else.

Yes but if you grab a Tier 8 Premium Container, I have a chance of getting the ship i want, and i may end up getting a ship i don't want, so It may be cheaper yes, but i'm not 100% i'll what i want so whats the point? I only wanted Mass on sale.

I understand, there is a risk, that you can receive a ship, you are not really interested in, but you can also get something interesting, that you weren't even thinking to try. Still if you are interested into Massachussetts, you can try to take a look on Black Friday containers, where is B version. But again, you would have still just a chance.

Unfortunately now we don't have discounts for direct premium ship purchase.

I am at a steam account (inside the game!) and i can buy for money the doubloons etc with some small token bonusses. But there is no option, by either doubloon or money to buy tokens directly in the 50 / 10 amounts...

I'm actually curious to know how the hell someone can manage to earn 180 tokens for the ship's garanteed container. Are the missions repeteable or is it just another WG sketchy scam event?

So your idea of a "summer sale" is an event where we get to grind for tokens, and buy tokens, to buy random blind loot boxes, and very few if any things are ACTUALLY on sale?
