Finally got my first coal ship and wow.

It was the Thunderer. It really nice. By nice I mean the guns are "OMG hahaha no way this is real" good. 

My first game I didnt put any equipment on and did 68k dmg lol.  

Then I put the required equipment and 2nd battle was 230k dmg.

This thing is really good at long range with HE and closer range its AP is devastating. 

Basically no armor though.

I have been grinding legendary modules for my Yamato recently (last mission now 40k base exp -_-) so am well practiced in the long range sniper with bad armor gameplay lol. 

Anyways here is the Thunderer result so far.

Soo... more damage, fewer kills and only half the winrate... doesn't look that successfull to me. ^v^

Its not, in no way is it a "carry the game" kind if ships but its super fun to play. I like my win rate to be high of course but with thunderer I don't care, its about having fun. With Yamato it's painful to get that damage, so many bounces or overpens. With Thunderer it's always accurate and every volley does dmg.

I have Thunderer too and I say don't neglect her AP as I have devastated Cruisers with it...

Whenever I'm playing BB's, my signature move is to troll the opposing team with my broadside.

 

Bonus, gives me nice quick battles.

Yea I noticed lol.

One of the games I YOLO too far and was chased by 2 Pommerens, both within secondary range :(. 

The app hit the nose in ship for 10k every volley.....but so did the HE lol.

After killing the first i turned to the second one who was giving enough broadside to show all guns and I hit him for 50k LOL.

But she is. Proper target selection and sufficient closeness make sure you are making the deciding hits.

Playing her only as a HE sniper wastes a lot of potential.

Yes, with proper timing and target selecetion she can be but that applies to almost any tier x.

Thunder armor is too weak to lead the charge or be close in early-game.

I got my Krispy Kreme for having fun... Sometimes I just want to set the world - or at least some enemy BBs - on fire, and she's kinda good at that.... ^v^

I've half of your battle count but managed to pick up four T9-T10 coal ships. How do you accumulate coal? Are you playing in bursts, not every day? Do you play with premium time?

My latest break was also 2 year, + before several of 3-4 months each.

 

Why is that funny? Any Conqueror player have at least some experience with that ship since that person grinded up to TX. Thunderer is just a purchase for resource.

I saw too many Thunderer players who are glue eaters, but i'll be happy to counter them.

No i did not 

Its a meme ship like Shiki or Slava. Blapping or burning down 40%-er players in random doesnt make the ship the best in class, just like Conqueror. The above mentioned 4 ships can deal with most sitiuations and thus, actually carry games.

I disagree, i think because of the speed and reloadbooster, Bourgogne is the best BB in the game. It might not be able to solve everything, but it doesnt have to. It can just go somewhere else or kill enough enemies with reloadbooster to get the advantage in numbers.

Ohio and Kremlin struggle with BBs on their own, while Yamato atleast has the upper hand at times. And Bourgogne is better/faster at dealing with ships showing broadside. Like Bourgogne facing a Yamato, ofc thats bad because you get lolpenned everywhere. But you can move away from it with the speed, get the angle for other ships near the Yamato and when the Yamato is alone, Bourgogne can kill it aswell.

The thing I like most about Thunderer is not her guns but her agility. Yamato, Montana, GK or Kremlin might be the better ships, but dear god, they are such bricks.

Thunderer is also my first coal ship and my only tier 10 atm. I love it's guns, accuracy and reload time.
