Ugly Camo

Dear WG art departement, i have a question .... what is this  ?????

Made with microsoft paint ?????

I know ... its only a german ship (a real one btw) but can you please rework these ugly camouflage  ?

The painting has been done by the gunners from the German Battleships. As they where sitting in the docks all the time they had time to paint. Though as you can see they are painting the same way they shoot. Not one single straight line just like the volleys they produce

This is not the worst by far. All the speshul camo's like the holiday special and the Ork camo's. Yikes

guys its NOT the camo itself - its the 1991 microsoft paint job we can see !!!   Look at the edges, it looks like a 640x480 resolution !!

I saw the thread and was wondering which one of the roughly 999 ugly camos was OP talking about. If they were this ugly, I wouldn't have a problem with them.

I like the camo, the black-white red scheme fit perfect for the germans ( seriously, thes color combination is the typical scheme for to to put a referenze to teh germans , liek the empire and the first order of the star wars franchise.

 

And they are way worst camoes, like the texas Murica F*** yeah camo and the Arpeggio one

The Camo itself is nice, only the artwork is handled roughly. No sharp edges, just zoom in on the transition going from Red to White or White to Black. Look as if someone quickly painted it over because someone didn't like the scheme and didn't have time to make the edges sharp enough. Maybe that is the idea, i don't know, but if some delivered a ship painted so rough i would sent it back

I didn't realise OP and you were talking about this until I looked at the image enlarged. Looks to me like they've used paint fill too aggressively or something and the pixels no longer look like they should, with blurred/smoothed transitions, instead we get the sharp transitions. Not a graphic designer, but that's what it looks like to me.

Im afraid how will that look on Kurfurst.

I was hyped about alternative camos on UK ships and it was a huge disappointment when I saw results (after I finished Collection ofc.) on my Conqueror. So ugly.

 

Montana and Republique have a nice alternative camo colors. I wish I didn't miss French alternative camo Collection.

This thread made me think about cammos and the truth is that the best real cammo for making gunners squint to line up on a ship is the uncamouflaged grey.  All the pretty stripes make it easier to see the target through the magnified sight.  So really none of these paint jobs are cammos at all.  They are just paint jobs.  I'm looking forward to a paint job that includes the bottom of the hull with a last contemptuous message to the enemy such as "You can sink my ship but I'll be back!" or something shorter and less printable!

Dude, if you really hate it so much... Just sell off the ugly camos and mount some pretty ones. Problem solved!
